About the Role

Reporting to the VP of Accounting, the Senior Tax Manager will lead and coordinate the Group’s taxation requirements and provide strategic support and taxation advice to senior management. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the Group is compliant with respect to relevant taxation laws globally. You will play a key role in the business and will have responsibility for providing guidance to the business as relates to applicable insurance taxes for new partner launches.

What will your day look like? You will...

• Provide support, guidance and advice to the business for the configuration of new partner integrations as relates to Insurance and Indirect Taxes due on policy sales and commissions
• Coordinate with the integrations teams to validate pricing configuration as relates to applicable taxes
• Oversee all tax filings, including direct and indirect tax, as prepared by external tax providers
• Responsibility for consolidated tax reporting and any statutory tax disclosures for group and statutory audits
• Work with external tax providers globally with regards to tax compliance work and be the interface between finance teams in the Region
• Oversee global tax structures including transfer pricing.
• Working with external tax providers to support the accurate and timely preparation of the tax provision and deferred taxes for the local statutory accounts and IFRS reporting
• Support in planning and project work, key projects
• Primary support for tax audits/reviews within region and work with finance teams to prepare for audits
• Ensuring accuracy & adequacy of business' tax reporting processes by evaluating relevant internal policies and procedures
• Recommending and driving improvement to tax systems and controls.

What you will bring;

• Big 4 or mid-tier tax trained, with further commercial experienceFamiliarity with APAC/EMEA region tax jurisdictions, including VAT/GST
• Minimum 15 years' experience in Tax, including 5 years in leadership roles
• An independent operator with experience in delivering projects end-to-end
• Strong stakeholder business partnering capability
• Must be proactive and be able to work well independently
• Must show initiative and be able to operate on their own
• Insurance/Financial Services experience a bonus but not a requirement
