TigerConnect is looking for a highly motivated Senior Project Accountant, Revenue and Billing to join our team. This person is responsible for maintaining timely, accurate financial records, with an emphasis on the order-to-cash cycle (billing and revenue recognition) for the Nurse Call business unit. He or she will assume ownership of a range of account reconciliations, financial closing activities, and other projects. The candidate shall have an in-depth understanding of the financial statements and working knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls. This is a hybrid position based out of our Mexico City office.
What You'll Be Doing:

• Review contracts and prepare customer invoices for parts orders (i.e. hardware) and progress-based billing, including deposit/milestone billings, in a construction contracting environment (i.e. medical equipment and software installation projects)
• Record journal entries for revenue, billed and unbilled accounts receivable, deferred revenue, and other accounting areas, as needed
• Apply, and become a subject matter expert of, ASC 606 and company revenue recognition policies
• Review and summarize customer contracts for proper revenue recognition in accordance with the aforementioned policies
• Assist in month-end close processes including financial reporting for senior management
• Support financial statement audits
• Assist in the development and documentation of business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls
• Preparing detailed analysis of monthly and quarterly financial results
• Change management focus - participate in exciting automation projects and other process improvements surrounding billing and revenue recognition

What You Bring:

• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, with an emphasis on billing and revenue recognition
• Typically requires a bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, finance or a related business or economics major
• Prior construction industry or progress-based style billing (i.e. AIA) experience is preferred
• Must demonstrate an understanding of the entire order to cash cycle
• Proficiency in Excel
• Proficiency in NetSuite is highly preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Self-starter, detail oriented, critical thinker and problem solver with ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to work on tight deadlines, communicate status updates and effectively manage the completion of work within the established project plan timelines
• Curiosity and thirst for knowledge and understanding of the business along with an unquenchable desire to streamline and improve processes to be more efficient and accurate ("Work smarter" mentality)
• Collaborative mindset and strong ability to work within a team environment
