This position supports the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), specifically within the Veterans Health Administration's Office of Healthcare Transformation. The role requires a proactive and analytical individual capable of managing high-priority and complex initiatives in a dynamic environment.

Location

810 Vermont Avenue NW, Washington DC. The position requires on-site presence for a minimum of two days per week, with additional remote work depending on project demands.

Clearance Requirements

Candidates must possess or be able to obtain a government security clearance. Details of the required level of clearance will be specified upon selection.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities

• Project Management and Coordination: Lead and coordinate the planning, scoping, and implementation of emergent healthcare programs. Engage with key stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
• Strategic Planning and Analysis: Develop and implement strategic plans that support the transformation and innovation of healthcare services. Conduct analyses to forecast needs and evaluate the effectiveness of ongoing programs.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Successfully interact with senior leadership and other key stakeholders to secure buy-in and facilitate the strategic alignment of projects. This includes preparing and presenting briefings and progress reports.
• Change Management: Implement change management processes to ensure smooth transition and adoption of new processes and technologies within the organization.
• Documentation and Compliance: Ensure all program documentation is compliant with VA policies and regulations. This includes the development of project scoping documents and the maintenance of project files.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, Public Administration, or a related field is required. A Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred.

Experience

• At least 8 years of experience in program analysis, project management, or a related field, with a strong preference for experience in healthcare settings, particularly within federal agencies such as the VA.

Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and multitask effectively.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desirable.
