Position Summary
The Sr. Financial Analyst reports directly to the Vice President of Finance and collaborates across the Finance & Accounting teams to determine and meet the Company’s analytical and financial reporting needs. The Sr. Financial Analyst performs a wide range of financial/operational analyses to support the management team in strategic planning and decision making.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties

  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with both executive and department leaders and their teams across the functional business areas assigned
  • Develop predictive models depicting key financial and operational relationships
  • Monitor business performance against KPIs and strategic plans and work with functional leaders to develop go-forward plans based on recent trends and outcomes
  • Partner with specific areas of the business to budget the labor and non-labor needs of the business and roll those forward in future forecast exercises to support a smart investment / growth mentality
  • Provide in depth performance analysis for various revenue and cost streams against plan, forecast and prior year; analyzing margins / return on investment by product
  • Assist in financial modeling of our product roadmap to determine cost of the development time and resources necessary to execute various product initiatives and the expected return on investment once released as a sellable asset
  • Assist in preparing analysis and commentary for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages and presentations for internal, Board, and external lender stakeholders
  • Analyze variances between various models (lender, investor, budgets, forecasts) vs. actual company performance

Qualifications

  • EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management / Administration, Finance, or Accounting
  • EXPERIENCE: 3-7 years of experience as part of a FP&A / Finance organization

What You Need For This Position

  • Minimum 3 years in a financial analysis, consulting, or strategy role
  • Ability to take a project / model from ideation through completion with minimal oversight
  • Excellent understanding of three statement financial models
  • Expansive knowledge of operational finance including financial analysis, cost accounting, GAAP accounting, forecasting, and planning
  • Strong business acumen and demonstrated ability to effectively communicate operating results to Senior Management across the organization
  • Superior skills in planning, analysis, budgeting, forecasting and building, and managing complex financial models
  • Ability to build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders in functions and teams across the business
  • Ability to work under pressure in deadline driven environment with constant re-prioritization
  • Excellent excel skills with large data set experience required
  • Adaptive Insights or equivalent Financial Planning & Reporting Software experience preferred
  • Experience in Netsuite or similar cloud ERP preferred
  • Experience with Adaptive Insights preferred
