About the role:

We are seeking a highly skilled delivery-focused Engineering Manager with technical and business acumen to support and partner with our client and business operations. Our Engineering managers must fully embrace the delivery commitments and demonstrate the ability to work in a rapidly changing environment. Leadership and service-oriented skills are necessary to manage the demands while operating in a highly motivated engineering environment. In this role, you will own and be responsible for the application vision, tech stack and modernization while demonstrating critical thinking and planning in a diverse and agile work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading, managing and developing a team of technical software engineers.
  • Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle, from conception to deployment.
  • Collaborate with Client, Operations, Product teams to prioritize, build roadmaps and deliver quality software solutions.
  • Implement and evolve development best practices from design, development, code reviews, integration, testing, and deployment.
  • Oversee and participate in implementation planning, product discovery and client solutioning.
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders to provide status updates, release timelines, and metric deliverables.
  • Stay abreast of latest technology trends and suggest new technologies and solutions to help improve the software.
  • Assist with technical issues and work to resolve issues whether backend, frontend, database.
  • Contribute to an Agile team that solves complex challenges and builds quality software.
  • Continuous management, monitoring and recommending improvements for end-to-end processing performance and product stability.
  • Oversight of development in compliance with security protocols, scanning results and client expectations
  • Ability to work with onshore and offshore engineering teams.

Required:

  • 5+ years’ experience in design, development, testing and implementing front-end web architecture and back-end services.
  • Solid understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.
  • 3+ years of coding experience with one or more of the following languages: Java, C#, ASP.NET web forms, React, and SQL.
  • Experience working and implementing continuous integration/continuous development, REST API development, serverless architecture, public/private cloud.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with designers, developers, and other relevant staff members or clients.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Good understanding of web performance optimization, cross-browser compatibility issues, and ways to work around them.
  • Ability to manage your time efficiently and work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • 3 plus years managing agile teams and leading in the Scrum Methodology ceremonies and practices. Prior experience in Kanban, Lean or SAFE a plus.
  • Experience with technologies in a containerized environment and scalable distributed systems
  • Experience working in Healthcare industry
  • Experience using Confluence and JIRA.

The salary range below is for Base Salary.  Total compensation also includes benefits and variable compensation.  Compensation will be determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, skill set, years of experience, and the employee’s geographic location.

Base Compensation

$110,000$170,000 USD
