About the Role 

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Corporate Accountant to strengthen our financial operations in our Greece office. This role involves hands-on responsibilities in maintaining accurate financial records and reports, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, and facilitating the use of our financial systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial services and will be instrumental in executing our accounting processes.

What you'll do:

  • Execute daily accounting tasks including reconciliations of bank statements, accounts payable and receivable, and the general ledger.
  • Prepare annual financial statements in compliance with US GAAP for all our audited entities. 
  • Assist in the implementation and optimization of financial software and systems such as NetSuite, BlackLine, and SAP Concur.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and prepare detailed reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with the IT department to enhance financial procedures and leverage technology for better efficiency.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Collaborate closely with external auditors during routine audits.
  • Participate in special projects to improve process efficiency and lead initiatives for further automation of the accounting processes.

What you’ll need:

  • Proven experience (4-6 years) in the financial services industry, or audit firms of international repute.
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics / Finance / Data Analysis. Masters or equivalent degree in a relevant field.
  • ACCA/ACA certification is preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with US GAAP is preferred.
  • Proficient in major financial software systems like NetSuite, BlackLine, and SAP Concur. Alternatively, experience with other similar accounting systems where knowledge can be applied to our stack. 
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent command of the English language.
