Sr. BI Engineer

Job Description:

We're seeking a motivated individual with robust technical and analytical skills to join the Copart Product team as a Business Intelligence Engineer. As part of the Product Management Team, you'll collaborate with Product Managers, Scientists, and Engineers, to develop BI/analytics solutions. Your responsibilities will include measuring product performance, uncovering trends, identifying business insights, and creating data pipelines, metrics, reports, and visualizations. This will also extend into selective and focused science driven endeavors in experimentation, decision and applied sciences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct deep-dive investigations into customer journeys, identifying root causes of issues and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop BI/analytics solutions and measure solution performance for Copart Products.
• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, metrics, reports, visualizations, and dashboards to drive business decisions.
• Collaborate on building visualization tools to adapt applications within the Google Cloud ecosystem.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in writing complex SQL queries.
• 3+ years of experience analyzing and interpreting data.
• Experience in data visualization using tools like Tableau, Quicksight.
• Familiarity with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
• Proficiency in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS, and Matlab.
• Ability to use SQL and scripting (Python) for data processing.
• Experience with Google Cloud solutions (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, etc.), preferred.
