Secure Mobile Device Program Analyst
Caterpillar must ensure that market differentiating intellectual property is secured with an optimized security posture. Our Cybersecurity team is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to join our Critical Asset Protection team. In this role you will have the opportunity to use analytics and automation to help protect against cybersecurity threats. You will be part of a dynamic team, working and interacting with other groups across Cybersecurity and Caterpillar IT.
What You Will Do:

  • Operational support of Caterpillar's Secure Mobile Device (SMD) solution. You will communicate with users of the program's security-hardened mobile devices including "white glove" support for senior leaders.
  • Design and maintain security policies and protocols for an organization; ensure to identify and defend security breaches and risks.
  • Maintain vulnerability testing, risk assessments, and security checks; implement measures to prevent cyber security risk and threats.
  • Identifies integration issues and estimate costs for the security system upgrades.
  • Research cyber security standards, security systems, and the latest validation and authentication procedures and report on their applicability for different IT environment.
  • Communication with users in scope of the secure mobile device program
  • Provide "white glove" support for senior leaders.
  • Manage the development and improvement of operational processes.
  • Triage user questions/concerns and field program-related questions/concerns.
  • Coordinate shipping, including management of shipping relationships.
  • Coordination, and escalation of, device returns
  • Provide end user support, including troubleshooting device and user escalations.
  • Monitor industry trends for continual solution improvement and expansion.


What You Have:

  • IT-related customer support experience in a break/fix environment.
  • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written.
  • A high degree of initiative, accountability along with an ability to efficiently apply IT and cybersecurity solutions to solve business problems.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Detail oriented and well organized.
  • A willingness to take ownership of problems and drive them to resolution in a timely manner.
  • Ability to efficiently describe technical configurations and architectures to non-technical staff and leadership in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • Ability to discern and prioritize enterprise interests against business and cybersecurity risk.
  • Experience with iOS and iPad OS configuration and support.


Education / Experience: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
Top Candidates will also have:

  • Experience providing "white glove" or similar support to senior leaders.
  • Initiative, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • A willingness to take ownership of problems and drive them to resolution in a timely manner.
  • A willingness to continuously learn and improve one's skills and abilities.
  • Experience with SQL or similar database administration.
  • Experience with automation with PowerShell or equivalent.
