Currently, Cask is on the lookout for a dedicated and driven Request for Proposal (RFP) Manager to join our presales team. In this role, you will actively manage the complete RFP process, collaborating with sales, project managers, and subject matter experts to produce compelling, high-quality proposals for various clients across the private and public sectors. Your responsibilities will include managing the response process, ensuring timely submissions, and developing strategies to enhance the efficiency and success rate of our proposals. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments and excels at collaboratively guiding cross-functional teams to meet proposal deadlines.

Here's what you'll dive into:

  • RFP Management: Lead and manage the RFP response process from start to finish, including the analysis of solicitation documents, development of response strategies, creation of compliance matrices, and coordination of the response team to ensure deadlines are met 
  • Proposal Development: Actively participate in the proposal development process by creating, reviewing, and editing high-quality proposals that clearly articulate Cask’s solutions, services, and value propositions
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, project management, and subject matter experts to gather necessary information and insights for crafting effective proposals
  • Refinement: Synthesize complex information streams into compelling written responses and edit written content contributed by the proposal team
  • Content Management: Maintain and update a library of RFP-related content, including templates and standard responses, to streamline the proposal process and ensure proposals are compliant, compelling, and aligned with client requirements and Cask standards
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all proposals are complete, accurate, and compliant with client requirements and Cask standards
  • Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve the RFP response process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Continuous Learning: Regularly assess and enhance Cask’s RFP process in support of continuous improvement, applying knowledging of teaming strategies and using structured proposal methodologies to improve outcomes
  • Training: Enable sales and presales support personnel on the established RFP response process and templates as needed

Here's what you'll bring to our table:

  • Experience: Minimum of five (5) years in RFP management, proposal writing, or a related field, preferably within a SaaS or technology consulting company; training and experience implementing a structured proposal development methodology like Shipley is preferred; strong understanding of consulting and implementation services supporting cloud-based solutions is required
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Skills: Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills; robust project management and organizational abilities; proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel, Google Docs and Sheets, and Adobe Professional; strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Attributes: Proven ability to deliver client-ready materials under tight deadlines, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and adjust to changing priorities; demonstrated capability to work collaboratively across teams and departments; attention to detail and a focus on quality

Note: Base salary range is $105,000 to $135,000 CAN. This range represents the expected compensation for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range when taking into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to location; skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
