We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer, responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests for an important client in the healthcare performance improvement industry. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, QA engineers, Data engineers and product owners to identify test requirements and develop effective test strategies for high-volume data solutions.

Main responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and desktop applications.
  • Execute automated tests and analyze test results to identify defects, inconsistencies, and performance issues.
  • Understand the underlying data workflows and design effective testing strategies to ensure data quality and accuracy
  • Develop automated tests that validate the functionality and performance of data pipelines, write test scripts that interact with Databricks pipelines and perform end-to-end testing.
  • Collaborate with engineers with ensuring data integrity and consistency. 
  • Leverage Databricks and Cypress to create performance and scalability tests that simulate heavy data loads and monitor system behavior under different conditions to help identify potential bottlenecks and performance issues.
  • Report bugs and issues related to data processing, transformations, and analysis.
  • Collaborate with other engineers to improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with product owners to understand requirements, identify test scenarios, and define acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure on-time delivery of agreed milestones and deliverables.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in automation with Cypress.
  • Demonstrated expertise in API testing, including the ability to design, implement, and assess API functionalities.
  • Proficient in Javascript and SQL.
  • General understanding of Databricks.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • Proactive attitude and strong sense of self-motivation.
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills to understand and solve complex problems.
  • Effective English communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Experience in gathering, analyzing, and refining project requirements.

Nice to have/It is a plus:

  • Previous experience in high-volume data projects.
