Description: The Project Manager - Strategy Management assists with strategic planning activities, budget forecasting, and other staff functions. This position executes and communicates complex analyses and plans to key stakeholders and leadership to ensure the CONNECT Consortium achieves annual goals. The Project Manager - Strategy Management is responsible for developing and leading the annual planning cycle and strategic management activities for JPS Health Network. This includes developing the organization wide long-term strategic plan and establishing processes to implement the plan, track progress and communicate. The Project Manager will initiate efforts and facilitate cross functional activity required to support strategic planning. This position works closely with the executive team to develop, monitor and adjust the strategic plan and organizational priorities, and to develop the next iteration of the organization's strategy.
Typical Duties:
- Initiates, plans and facilitates strategic planning efforts, develops and delivers strategic planning messaging, monitors execution of the strategy, initiate efforts to adjust the strategy as needed.
- Drives and manages broad range of projects as requested by the Executive Director, Strategy & Business Development or other executive leaders.
- Consults with organizational stakeholders.
- Identifies and uses appropriate project management tools and concepts (scope management, planning, budget management, risk/ issue management, communications management). Provides direction and guidance to team members on creation of project deliverables.
- Develops and executes work plan. Sets priorities for tasks based on importance and urgency.
- Delivers project on time and within budget.
- Delegates tasks effectively.
- Creates work products and project deliverables independently.
- Understands and meets expectations for deliverable quality and timeliness.
- Oversees the creation of work products by others to ensure quality.
- Manages communication to and relationships with key project stakeholders.
- Composes, edits, and delivers written and verbal communications.
- Facilitates group discussions.
- Keeps team members appropriately informed.
- Supports research and project management for strategic projects across all phases of the project life-cycle.
- Develop tools and processes and provide ongoing support.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business/healthcare administration or other related field.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of project management in the healthcare industry, preferably in strategy and business development.
- Master's degree in business or healthcare administration preferred.
- PMP Certification.
