We are responsible for the end-to-end digital and physical Guest experience for all technology & digital-led initiatives across the Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation and Merchandise lines of business as well as other initiatives including MyDisneyExperience and Hey, Disney!
This role sits in Florida within the Disney Experiences team and is a 24-month Project Hire position with no guarantee of permanent placement.
The Senior Product Manager position will be part of the Digital & Technology SPOT (Supplier Strategic Partnerships and Operations Technology) team responsible for leading the strategic direction of technology and digital vendor initiatives working in a dynamic, collaborative environment. This role influences Product Management and development of the B2B application suite for this space, which drives our automation and data integrity to enable us to be efficient, lean and compliant.
In this role you will define, deliver and implement new technical mechanisms to continue making this space efficient and cost effective. Partnering with Corporate technology application teams for the technical integration between our applications/systems is a requirement.
You will be reporting to the SPOT director and collaborate with leadership to define vendor strategies across Technology and Digital. You will also have a deep understanding of the core business, as well as our digital and technology business.
The Senior Product Manager will be part of the teams that developed SPOT business strategies, identifying high-value segments and implement tactics that drive business opportunities that align with the digital and technology roadmap themes. Monitor vendor trends, technology and digital teams expectations and behaviors, and competitive intelligence to define, prioritize, and implement the SPOT roadmap.
What You'll Do:

  • Working across various business units, gathers and documents vendor data requirements for all aspects of SPOT products and services including tools features and functionality.
  • Collaborating with all impacted functional teams including Corporate Sourcing, CWM, Legal. Drive implementation of a SPOT digital and technology roadmap by ensuring the SPOT team has a deep understanding of the SPOT products and services goals and objectives.
  • Document features by translating the product concepts into user stories, epics and other appropriate product results (e.g., project briefs, scope/requirement documents, Guest prioritized needs, etc.)
  • Primary representative for product management in all day-to-day activities related to the roll-out of a product/improvement, serving as a key resource for the team, raising to leadership as needed.
  • Effectively connect with partners of various levels across Digital & Technology and the broader Disney organization through various mediums (IE. presentations, email, formal/informal meetings).
  • Position requires positive relationships, the ability to build and maintain robust relationships, deep understanding of company policies and guidelines, and ensuring these guidelines are followed by Disney Experiences.
  • A successful candidate will be highly analytical, collaborative, able to work effectively at various levels of the organization and across multiple partners while negotiating a diverse portfolio of services and managing suppliers' performance.
  • This role influences Product Management and development of the B2B application suite for this space, which drives our automation and data integrity to enable us to be efficient, lean and compliant.
  • This includes the definition, delivery, and implementation of new technical mechanisms to continue making this space efficient and cost effective. This also includes partnering with Corporate technology application teams for the technical integration between our applications/systems.
  • This role requires experience with application development as it will be encouraged to work with engineering managers, directors and vice presidents to optimize their development approach with suppliers.
  • The value of this role is someone who understands the SPOT function but uses their development experience to guide the development teams on how to use and to challenge the vendors to optimize their delivery approach.


Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • Confirmed analytical and quantitative skills with an ability to use hard data and metrics to form assumptions and develop cases.
  • Ability to influence people over whom you do not have direct authority.
  • Have a strong passion for their work with very high standards for quality and accuracy.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills including an ability to communicate effectively at an executive level. Experience communicating out on Product performance and success of initiatives.
  • Ability to think strategically and drive ideas into action with a willingness to take personal initiative. Shown ability to collaborate with and achieve actionable results through partnerships with others, including the ability to build strong and sustainable relationships and the capability to interact within all levels of the organization.
  • Experience identifying, defining, and/or addressing technical, user and business issues in a fast paced organization.
  • Experience with Agile software development methodology.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required and 5 years of experience.


Preferred Education

  • Master's Degree and 3 years of experience.
