  ⚡️ Why Altium?

Altium is transforming the way electronics are designed and built. From startups to world’s technology giants, our digital platforms give more power to PCB designers, supply chain, and manufacturing, letting them collaborate as never before.

  • Constant innovation has created a transformative technology, unique in its space
  • More than 30,000 companies and 100,000 electronics engineers worldwide use Altium
  • We are growing, debt-free, and financially strong, with the resources to become #1 in the EDA industry

About the Role:

We are looking for a Product manager to continue to drive Altium Designer’s strategy, which is to go beyond the pure PCB onto electronics product design. The key to this, is to build digital bridges with the adjacent domains, with one of the most important being CAE, specifically PCB simulation. It’s critical for us to establish a multi-vendor network of connectivity to/from PCB-CAE leveraging our proven co-design concept. The other vector of investment is democratization of PCB simulation by embedding simulation solvers with drastic simplification and tight integration with the ECAD ecosystem.

To be successful as our Product Manager of CAE / Simulation, you should have a pulse on the Electronics industry (trends, products etc) combined with a passion to be a major force in driving it into the next generation, demonstrating excellent strong leadership and strategic planning skills.

Who you are and what you’ll need for this position:

  • Owning on Signal/Power integrity areas of Altium Designer.
  • 4+ years of experience as a product manager, product owner or domain engineer in simulation fields relevant to electronics product design, verification and validation.
  • Bring simulation to PCB designers, aka “shift-left” motion, allowing to make design decisions in a context of the design environment at earliest stages.
  • Redefined UX of simulation - move it away from bare physics, and bring clothes to domain electronics.
  • Own simulation CoDesigner bridges.
  • Working with partners, for example  Ansys and Keysight, to bring their technology into SMB market and Altium user base.
  • Manage partnerships with simulation players of the market - Ansys, Keysight, Hexagon, MathWorks, Altair.
  • More specifically, the expertise should fall into one of the following type of analyses:
    • Signal and Power integrity
    • Thermal
    • EMI
    • RF
  • Practice in EDA or CAD software product development would be a strong advantage.
  • Solid knowledge of the simulation domain, relevant to PCB.
  • Good understanding of UX (user-first, which is not popular among simulation vendors in general).
  • Knowledge of electronics and it’s needs.
