The Opportunity:

Do you love the rush of helping existing partners grow to achieve their objectives? Then we need to talk. ApplyBoard has helped higher-ed institutions in Canada, the UK, Ireland and Australia grow their international student enrolment. Now our mission is to help the US. We are looking for an experienced and creative Partner Relations Manager to join our growing Sales Team and take our company and platform to the next level!

Note: This role is based in the US (remote), We accept Applications from remote employees in the following US states: MA, CA, IL, WA, AZ, TX, NY, RI

What you'll be doing every day:

  • Generate revenue and hit target quota
  • Serve as main point of contact for partner schools in assigned territories, establishing and supporting positive and fruitful relationships with newly established and existing school partners
  • Develop, execute and forecast strategic plans for the territory that will identify and secure increased revenue opportunities
  • Manage a pipeline and reliably forecast on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Manage the contract renewal process with existing partners, aiming to increase revenue by identifying opportunities to provide additional products and services
  • Develop recruitment and marketing strategies for partner schools, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on promotional activities, including webinars, social media, events, and more
  • Leverage CRM to manage and track interactions with partner schools, establishing cadence of regular touch points and annual business reviews
  • Collaborate across teams to provide seamless handoff, onboarding, and support to newly established and long-term partner institutions
  • Travel as needed (10-25%) to attend conferences, visit partners, and participate in other activities intended to brand ApplyBoard and grow partnerships in the US
  • Serve as advocate for US partners and the US market internally, tracking data and trends

What you bring to the table:

  • Self-motivated, self-starter who is proactive and strategic
  • 3+ years experience in edtech sales
  • SaaS sales experience is beneficial
  • Experience in selling to leadership at higher-ed academic institutions
  • Passion for excellence, a sense of accountability, strong work-ethic, taking pride in a job well-done, and attention to detail are all must-have traits
  • Ability to achieve results by understanding the needs of the customer, driving influence by connecting a customer's pressures with business and product solutions
  • Experience developing and executing on an expansion sales strategy
  • Project management experience and/or training
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle objections
  • Experience preparing sales proposals, forecasts and account planning
  • Experience in reviewing and negotiating contracts
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, dynamic environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, presentation, and written communication skills
  • Ability to properly prioritizing tasks and take initiative
  • Experience working with a CRM (Salesforce, etc.), Google and Microsoft productivity software
