What You'll Do
The Paid Search Media Director will be a critical leadership role within the search department and lead the Paid Search strategies for a key grocery client. This person should possess hands-on experience in leading a paid search team and must be able to communicate with clients effectively. The ideal candidate should be strategic and activation-oriented. As a key leader within the department, you will be responsible for crafting staffing plans, processing agency-wide POVs, and playing an integral role in new business pitches.

Responsibilities
- Deepen the relationship with the client through regular conversations and meetings
- Drive thought leadership by staying abreast of the latest trends and innovations in the Paid Search landscape
- Present reporting insights to clients and at larger agency department meetings
- Lead the development and execution of the client's paid search strategy
- Lead the strategy and execution of Google and Bing shopping campaigns while working alongside the product feed partner to ensure flawless execution
- Develop and manage media testing roadmaps to maximize the client's media investment
- Provide strategic guidance to the search team to ensure flawless activation strategies
- Develop client POVs on strategies and approaches to the ever-changing landscape of paid search
- Creates a positive working environment and fosters the growth of the team by taking a lead role in internal training sessions to elevate the knowledge and skills of team members. Share best practices, case studies, and hands-on experiences to foster continuous learning within the team.
- Lead internal training sessions to enhance and contribute to the team's skills and growth
- Share best practices, case studies, and hands-on experiences to create a positive work environment and foster continuous learning
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the client's business, from both current and historical perspectives
- Foster strong relationships with departments like Analytics, AdOps, and Business Leadership
- Consistently bring new media and technology ideas to the team for application and brainstorming
- Maintain overall control of workflow and assigned team responsibilities within the group - oversees the progress of all projects
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in a paid search planning & activation capacity
- 5+ years of team management experience
- Expertise in SA360 is required. Experience in Apple Search Ads is a plus.
- Expertise in managing Google and Bing Shopping campaigns, and experience working with product feed partners, is required
- Working knowledge of ad serving platforms (CM360 preferred) and online analytics solutions (Google, Adobe)
- Deep understanding of tagging and tracking solutions
- Knowledge of statistical and testing methodologies, is preferred
- Experience with quantitative analysis and forecasting strategies is strongly preferred
- Highly organized and process-oriented
- High level of comfort presenting to senior clients and senior internal team members
- Exposure and usage of marketing technology and tools (AdServers, LiveRamp, etc.)
- Thrives on and enjoys the new business cycle and process
- High level of energy and enthusiasm to learn and grow
- Experience managing team projects from ideation to execution
- Knowledge of Tableau/MySQL/Datorama/Google Data Studio, is a plus
