We are Loop

We redefine what an earplug should sound, look and feel like. Whether it’s hearing protection or comfort for your ears, Loop enables you to live life at your volume. Our founders Maarten and Dimitri started Loop back with a big idea. And a chronic ringing in their ears. Since then, we’ve helped more than 3,500,000 customers around the world to find quiet, enjoy great experiences and keep unwanted noise at bay.
In 2023 we grew from almost 100 Loopers to over 250 people. And that’s a number we would have to keep updating every month, as we are planning to double the team once again, this year.

Our headquarters are based in Antwerp, but with hubs in Amsterdam, Shanghai, and New York, we’re dotted all over the globe.

Not to brag about it, but we’ve recently won the EY Scale up of the year award, the Deloitte Fast50 award (for the second year in a row) and a couple of other amazing (international) prices. The New York Times named us ‘best earplugs for concerts’ and thousands of noise-sensitive customers call us a ‘life changer’.

About the role

Do you get a thrill from successfully pushing fast-paced packaging programs over the finish line? Then we got some exciting projects lined up for you.
Our current products have a passive focus, but behind the scenes we’re also exploring active technologies. As our first Packaging Program Manager, you’ll be the one to connect our R&D roadmap to our packaging projects.
Your challenge? To drive collaboration within the teams more effectively and getting all stakeholders on the same page, in time.

As a Packaging program manager you’ll empower efficiency

Your core job is to manage development and packaging projects. That can be the improvement of our current packages or you’ll work on packaging projects for our top-secret new products. Either way, your focus is on packaging development planning and validation cycles. As the go-to-person for tactical execution, you’ll develop strategies to meet your program objectives. This also means identifying and addressing potential pitfalls, redirecting efforts towards better courses of action. When (technical) issues do arise, you're the one who brings key stakeholders (like our packaging engineer and packaging designer) together to find a solution.

Since we’re growing rapidly and our ambitions are skyrocketing, there are lot of people, teams and interests involved. Aligning them all won’t be easy, but we know you’re up for it. And don’t worry, you're not on your own. The Program Management team and your manager Sander are there to help you.

Your role also includes:

  • Allocating and directing resources required for successful project execution.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among engineering leads, operations managers, marketing managers, and OEM partners to achieve forecasted cost, schedule, and quality goals.
  • Creating and maintaining project schedules within the designated programs.
  • Providing comprehensive status updates ranging from individual contributors to executive management.

How you’ll succeed as a Packaging program manager

You’re self-motivated, proactive and you’ll use your creative and critical thinking abilities a lot. Your work focusses on the world of (electrical) consumer products, so it’s important that you have a strong understanding of manufacturing processes. Collaboration with different teams and stakeholders is key, this also means you're able to filter and translate relevant information to the right audience. We’ll rely on your communication, organizational and leadership skills to push projects successfully over the finish line. Our development cycles are fast and sometimes ambiguous, so we’ll need you to always keep your cool and stay flexible.

You also need:

  • A BSc Degree in Industrial Design or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 8+ years of combined experience in project/program management and design/engineering delivering packaging projects for consumer electronics.
  • Detailed knowledge of NPI development processes.
  • A strong understanding of manufacturing processes for (electrical) consumer products.
  • Proficiency in English, our company language.

Location: within commutable distance from Antwerp or Amsterdam. Let us know if you are willing to relocate.

Why join us?
  • In 2023, we won Scale-up of the year (according to EY — awarded December 2023), and we want you to scale and grow with us.
  • Our culture? We’re all about enabling growth by giving our team full autonomy to manage their own projects, be a thought leader, and truly make an impact on the company.

  • We take care of our people. So, we pay them what they’re worth. Expect a competitive pay in the top 20% of the market rate for your level of experience and potential.

  • Flexibility: For us, hybrid and flexible working is all about trust. And we trust you to get on with your job, so there’ll be no micromanaging or peeking over your shoulder from us.

  • Benefits: Our benefits are all aimed towards looking after your health, and enabling you to live life to the fullest. So everything from health insurance and retirement savings to the latest tools is covered.
