Operations Task Analyst

Thompson Gray, a rapidly growing employee-owned company, is seeking an Operations Task Analyst for full-time work in Orlando Florida.

Job Description:

The selected candidate will work in support of the Assistant Program Executive Office Acquisition Operations Support. The duties will include creating, analyzing, assessing, and coordinating business plans; coordinating with other Army and DOD agencies to gather information in support of the business plans; coordinating program reviews with outside agencies; and developing a strategic vision.

Duties will include:

  • Utilize expert knowledge and understanding of inter-relationships of the acquisition, development, fielding and life cycle support and technical aspects of simulations, simulators, training, and instrumentation systems in their relation to properly identifying tasks from A/ASLT, HQDA, and other agencies as it relates to tasking internally at PEO STRI.
  • Employ broad, deep strategic knowledge of Army Training Management Systems to include ETMST2 including research and development, program and budget, support services, financial management, major training systems acquisitions, contracting, logistics, operations and foreign military sales programs and integration of all training support management processes, products, services, and operational portfolio.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expert analysis of DoD and HQDA directed tasks, policies, and requirements enabling development of Army Training Management Strategies.
  • Perform strategic analysis to support training management systems for acquisitions, modernization programs and the integration of training management processes, products, and services.
  • Draft and support the development of briefings and Executive Summaries for senior leaders to include General Officers, Senior Executive Service personnel, and Senior non-executive personnel.
  • Work with Deputies, Directors, Department Heads, and Technical Experts to develop PowerPoint briefings to ensure communications are accurately and effectively conveyed to the target audience.
  • Conceptualizes, develop, and manage decisive plans and strategies for the internal and external management of day-to-day tasks and long-range tasks for the directorate.
  • Expertly utilize MS Office, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Occasional travel to represent the organization is required.

Qualified Candidates Must Have:

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Ability to clearly communicate with all levels of internal and external organizations to include senior military and government civilian personnel.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrate exceptional attention to detail as well as work closely with other team members as necessary.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, including ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Must be comfortable collaborating with Customer and provide agile support while assisting with "big picture" organizational goals.
  • Ability to think strategically and be comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment.

Candidate must have a bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 10 years of relevant experience. An ACTIVE existing SECRET security clearance is required and the ability to obtain TS/SCI security clearance; ability to work independently; excellent communication skills are required.
