The Opportunity

This position is responsible for providing financial decision support and being a trusted internal partner to the brand leadership and operations teams. The incumbent will provide accurate, data-based information on profitability, solvency, stability, and liquidity as well as prepare monthly routine financial reporting along with any ad hoc projects. Additionally, this role will maintain develop and maintain strong partner relationships and provide support when needed, identify trends, and partner with operation teams on variance analysis and forecasting.

The Team

You will report directly to our CEO and work closely with the VP of Finance and the finance team.  You will also work with our vendors, clients, and internal departments both in person and virtually.

The Environment

This is an office-based role in our Folsom, CA headquarter location.  You will work primarily onsite in a controlled office environment. This role provides hybrid flexibility for up to two remote workdays per week.

Your Key Contributions

  • Provide accurate and timely financial information and analysis to support management decision making, including analysis of current and past trends and unexpected variances in revenue, cost of sales, operating expenses and capital expenses, and key performance indicators. Regular/recurring reporting includes month-end financials, KPIs and analysis, project work-in-progress (WIP), labor utilization and actual vs. budget comparisons.
  • Lead recurring and ad hoc planning exercises and develop and maintain analytical models to support these, including pipeline and backlog revenue forecasting, annual sales and revenue targets, annual headcount planning, annual departmental operating budgets, quarterly income and balance sheet forecasting, strategic initiatives, etc.
  • Partner with the broader Finance/Accounting teams to support the Company’s rolling 13-week cash flow forecast.
  • Improve performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiencies and understand the profit margin with respect to each project and product category, including analysis of direct costs for purposes of pricing projects and services, allocating costs to projects, etc.
  • Investor analysis support: Assist in investor processes including due diligence, valuation analysis, modeling synergies, and integration planning.
  • Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain complex financial models to evaluate various financial plans. This includes scenario analysis and sensitivity analysis to assess risks and opportunities.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze financial data and reports to provide actionable insights to senior Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial performance.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with different departments and stakeholders to gather information and align financial plans with business strategies.
  • Assist and provide back-up to accounting with project setups, recording changes and customer invoicing.

Traits for Success

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business or related field (required)
  • 5+ years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong business judgement, conviction, and confidence to communicate and influence effectively with business partners
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint required, with particular focus on financial modeling
  • Proficiency in the use of software applications, databases, extensive knowledge of spreadsheets a must, and word processing required
  • Knowledge of NetSuite and PowerBI tools preferred
  • Ability to be organized, strategically focused, and detail oriented is essential
  • Experience with project based accounting

Pay Transparency

This announcement is open to the manager level.  The base pay range for this position is $120,000 - $145,000/annual salary.  This is an overtime Exempt position.  Compensation is based on market rate, job level, job related knowledge, skills, experience, education, and certifications.  This is a Full Time opportunity.
