Position Overview

The Legal Ops Specialist will assist in many facets of the in-house Legal Department, including matter management processing and contract review and preparation. Successful individuals in this role will have:

Essential Job Functions

• Coordinate certain aspects of the contract management process, including routing contracts for signature and saving documents to the contracts database.
• Organize, maintain, and prepare reports on matters and contracts utilizing internal databases and software.
• Format template contracts, correspondence, and other documents.
• Use contract playbooks to review routine contracts.
• Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of the Legal Department's matter management system and other relevant technology. Train new employees on how to request legal support and how to use these systems.
• Organize legal files and notebooks.
• Provide general support to the Legal Team and assists with ad-hoc tasks, general admin support, and special projects.
• Additional duties and responsibilities at the direction of management

Requirements

• High school diploma required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as an executive assistant, legal assistant, or paralegal. In-house corporate legal department experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and an aptitude for working in cloud and -server-based enterprise computer programs and applications.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of all department, company, customer, and other -third-party information

Physical Demands

This is largely a sedentary role; however, the duties require the use of the hands to type and the ability to communicate. This role requires the ability to move about and some duties may occasionally require the ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
