We are currently seeking a talented and passionate Legal Counsel to join our legal team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative team at the forefront of the Bitcoin Layer 2 revolution.

• Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal contracts related day-to-day matters.
• Research and stay abreast of relevant regulations and laws pertaining to cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology, with special focus in LATAM, Europe and UK.
• Collaborate with the commercial team in the administration of grant programs, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and providing legal guidance as needed.
• Conduct Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures to verify the identity of grantees and suppliers and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Provide assistance to the marketing team by reviewing promotional materials, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and providing legal advice on marketing strategies.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment between legal requirements and business objectives.
• Keep abreast of industry developments and regulatory changes related to cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology, and provide recommendations to ensure compliance and mitigate legal risks.
• Support the legal team in other ad-hoc projects and initiatives as needed.

• Law degree from an accredited institution in any jurisdiction.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with technology startups, preferably in a legal capacity.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish, both verbal and written, to convey complex legal concepts to various stakeholders.
• Basic knowledge of cryptoassets, blockchain technology, and the cryptocurrency industry.
• Ability to understand and interpret legal documents and regulations related to cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.
• Excellent research skills to stay updated on the latest developments and regulations in the cryptocurrency space.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address legal issues effectively.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Comfortable working remotely in a distributed team environment.
• Flexibility and adaptability to navigate the evolving legal landscape of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.
