TigerConnect is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Lead Accountant to join our Accounting Operations Shared Services in Mexico City. This pivotal role involves meticulous handling of our corporate accounting processes, focusing primarily on U.S. financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the precision and timeliness of various accounting tasks, including journal entry preparation, month-end closing activities, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes. Additionally, this role encompasses vital responsibilities in audit preparation and treasury functions.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Support Corporate Accounting Operations teams to deliver high-quality services to enable TigerConnect's continuous growth through globalization; mainly focus on GL accounting, cost accounting and managerial reporting
- Partner with internal stakeholders to support continuous monitoring and improvement of shared services operations to ensure effective service delivery
- Efficiently prepare and record daily, weekly, and monthly journal entries, ensuring accuracy in our Netsuite ERP system
- Lead the creation of most month-end closing journal entries and assist in monthly financial analysis, including variance assessments on financial statements
- Conduct thorough monthly general ledger account reconciliations and bank reconciliations
- Contribute to the preparation of audit schedules, collaborating with external auditors
- Manage and execute ACH/wire transfers and other necessary financial transactions for week AP and payroll runs
- Support in executing treasury-related functions such as 13 week cash flow forecast
- Provide assistance and potential coverage for various roles within the Corporate Accounting department
- Assist with backlog reporting, snowball/ARR reporting and regular KPI metrics
- Prepare monthly commissions calculations and collaborate with the Payroll team to ensure proper process & review of computations and timely remittance
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration; Preferred experience in public accounting
- 7+ years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in a corporate setting. With at least 3-4 years of experience in Accounting Operations and teams in shared services environment of a U.S. based company
- CPA/Chartered Accountancy and Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting
- Proven ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word (Intermediate to Advanced level)
- Strong interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on teamwork
- Quick learning ability and independent work ethic, taking full ownership of responsibilities
- Flexibility and a positive attitude in managing multiple tasks
- Netsuite ERP software experience is highly beneficial
- Flexibility to work during standard U.S. time zones and necessary travel to the U.S.
