We are seeking an experienced Inventory Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of proven experience in inventory management within a fast-paced environment. The Inventory Manager will be responsible for overseeing the organization, storage, and distribution of goods to ensure efficient operations and minimize costs. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams.


Job Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to optimize inventory levels and minimize stockouts
  • Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular audits to identify discrepancies or inefficiencies
  • Coordinate with purchasing and logistics teams to ensure timely procurement and delivery of goods
  • Analyze inventory data to forecast demand, track product performance, and identify trends
  • Manage inventory systems and software to maintain accurate records of stock levels, transactions, and movements
  • Implement strategies to reduce excess inventory and obsolete stock while maximizing inventory turnover
  • Collaborate with sales and operations teams to coordinate inventory planning and meet customer demand
  • Train and supervise inventory staff to ensure compliance with procedures and quality standards
  • Resolve inventory-related issues, such as discrepancies, damages, and shortages, in a timely manner
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulations related to inventory management
  • System Item Set Up and data maintenance
  • Manage cost approval process and maintain accurate product cost data to insure costs remain within allowable variances.
  • Analyze Purchase Price Variance on a periodic basis and provide guidelines and strategies to minimize going forward.


Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • 3-4 years of experience in inventory management or related roles
  • Proven track record of improving inventory accuracy, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of inventory control best practices, procedures, and regulations


Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Certification in Inventory Management (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP).
  • Experience working within a Standard Cost Model
  • Experience with Netsuite
  • Experience working in the Beauty Industry
  • Experience working in retail, manufacturing, or distribution industries
  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma principles and continuous improvement methodologies


Location:

 

  • This position is based in our New York City office, 3 days a week in the SOHO Office
