Job Description

We are the movers of the world and the makers of the future. We get up every day, roll up our sleeves and build a better world -- together. At Ford, we're all a part of something bigger than ourselves. Are you ready to change the way the world moves?

Our Marketing, Sales & Service organization advances the Ford reputation as a visionary vehicle and mobility services company and helps deliver a trusted customer experience. Use your marketing, sales and service expertise to turn data-driven insights into innovative solutions that enhance sales and customer loyalty. Join us and be the eyes, ears and voice of Ford.

This can be a remote position with the expectation to travel to Dearborn at least once a month.

In this position

We are developing low cost EVs and are looking for a teammate with both creative and analytical skills to help develop the business of modular accessories and other vehicle and ownership experiences. A well-executed accessories business is a key part of our vision for selling low-priced EVs. At the core of that business, we need a combination of customer empathy, creative vision, and analytical insights. That's where you come in.

You will work closely with Model-e Product Marketing managers to make sure the accessories business strengthens their core products. You will serve as the marketing pillar in collaborations with a business strategy team, engineers and designers. You will add value by applying sound economic thinking and rigorous data analysis. You will also develop keen customer observations and help the team generate and evaluate new ideas for how modular accessories are sold.

Over time, the role is likely to evolve beyond accessories to include support of other ancillary products and services. You will also likely support broader marketing launch activities.

Responsibilities

What you'll do

  • Use price and volume data to inform market equation assumptions for a wide array of accessories
  • Develop and maintain business cases for our team's customer-centric catalog of accessories and help guide the expansion of that catalog over time
  • Engage with related engineering, design, finance, business strategy and other partner teams to maintain awareness of development activities - adjusting market equation accordingly
  • Support business strategy and marketing teams as they develop accessories selling systems, and broader marketing plans
  • Support primary research events through refinement of objectives and tactics to help gain deep customer insights
  • Be an advocate for the team's customer-centric priorities and business vision
  • Always be learning - continually seeking new information and insights about customers' behaviors, priorities, decisions - and distilling and disseminating that knowledge to work partners
  • Over time, role may evolve to support vehicle marketing initiatives (e.g. market research events, launch activities, media strategy, sales planning, retail education)

Qualifications

You'll have

  • Bachelors degree
  • Excellent skills analyzing and modeling data. Excel expertise at a minimum, other data analysis and visualization tools preferred (e.g. Python, R, Tableau, etc)
  • High level of creativity, and ability to draw inspiration from unrelated areas
  • Empathy for customers and strong understanding of personal biases
  • Ability to extract robust customer insights from wide variety of data sources, including common Ford databases, as well as external sources of consumer data
  • Knowledge of market trends, and strong interest in emerging trends
  • Desire and ability to collaborate cross-functionally, build consensus, and navigate ambiguity
  • Interest in psychology and consumer decision making
  • Assertiveness and initiative to follow high-potential ideas, sometimes independently
  • Ability to succinctly articulate complex ideas in simple ways
  • Ability to focus on and prioritize the most important work - being thoughtful and purposeful with our time and energy

You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!

As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice. You can choose what your Ford future will look like: will your story span the globe, or keep you close to home? Will your career be a deep dive into what you love, or a series of new teams and new skills? Will you be a leader, a changemaker, a technical expert, a culture builderor all of the above?
