Role

We are looking for a Head of GT Software Development to innovate, win and grow with us in Geneva! 

Work with the Development teams on Bottomline’s exciting and innovative Financial Messaging solution.  As Head of GT Suite Software Development, you’ll lead teams to success, driving them to deliver critical, high quality, secured software. Position refers to the VP of Software Engineering & Production.

How you’ll contribute 

• Lead and organize several strong software development scrum teams to meet the global strategic objectives, within the budget and time constrains
• Partner with other leaders to influence strategic, architectural and organizational choices.
• Work with the Product Manager/Owners and architects to review and strengthen the development roadmaps.
• Customers’ follow-up with leaders of other departments (Ops, Support, Delivery, Customer care)
• Promote engineering good practices and being accountable for high quality, security, automation and robustness of the developed solutions.
• People management: by defining clear objectives for each team and individuals in the respective teams; responsible for career development/planning and performance discussions.
• Participate in customer-related meetings.

The experience, skills and attributes that will support your success:

• Previous experience in team management  of software engineering
• Leadership and mentoring/coaching experience
• High understanding of complex software solutions
• High understanding of all phases of SDLC, experience in working with Agile methodology an asset
• Customer service oriented
• Able to demonstrate extensive software engineering experience in a financial environment
• Prior knowledge and understanding of offshore product setup with distributed teams will be an added advantage.
• Strong experience with performance, scalable and distributed environments.

• Excellent English oral and written communication

• German/Swiss German preferable.
