About the TEAM:

  • We are a fully remote team of 9 people across the continental US.
  • We maintain a healthy product by continuously evaluating and addressing technical debt.
  • Our frontend tech stack is built on Typescript and uses Angular.
  • Our backend tech stack is built on Node/Express, Next.js, and MongoDB.
  • Our platform is built on AWS using ECS, ECR, and Lambda, among other Amazon services.
  • About the ROLE: The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

As a member of a small team, help us build a culture of best practices, and architecture that will support our customers and us as we grow.

  • Work across our full tech stack - while we'd prefer someone who could walk in with good experience in all parts of our stack, we're willing to bring on teammates who have a need and a demonstrated passion for learning on any particular part of our stack.
  • Help set the technical direction for our product and help push our team to improve our standards and performance.
  • Support the engineering team through more focused code reviews, mentoring, and training.
  • Play a crucial role in understanding and communicating our challenges in implementing our product vision.
  • Maintain production web applications for mission-critical business functions.
  • Design reusable system components.
  • Design system framework and architecture.
  • Performs coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the application development.
  • Design and expand cloud infrastructure.
  • Peer reviews the development work of other team members; assist teammates as needed.

Preferred:

Thorough knowledge of database design and development (preferred).

Experience collaborating with and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies.

Experience making design decisions around architectural frameworks.

Nice to haves:

  • UI/UX skills
  • AWS experience
  • Non-relational DBs experience
  • Experience working in a microservices
  • Any DevOps experience with tools like Terraform, CircleCI, or other CI/CD tools
