We are looking for an enthusiastic Full-Stack Developer with a startup mindset and cross-platform (web and mobile) experience to join our client's team. Our client is building the future of standardized test preparation making learning a social, fun and equitable experience by implementing a gamified approach to standardized testing like the SAT’s.

Their app will be available to students wherever they're at - on web, tablet, and on their mobile devices - as a fun way to practice for the SAT. They are building the MVP version of the app now, targeting a desktop web launch initially but rolling out Android and iOS mobile versions later on.

Students will be able to answer practice questions focused on specific categories of the test, take full-length practice tests, analyze their performance to improve their weak areas, collaborate with their friends, and compete with their peers to be #1 on the leaderboards as they hone their skills and prepare for their tests this fall.

As part of this role, you will take the lead in the design and implementation of a cross-platform cloud native React Native solution that is going to be shipped to the web, iOS and Android simultaneously.

You will collaborate with Product designers translating feature designs and broader design libraries from Figma into consistent and maintainable codebases.

The client is planning on using the Expo framework on top of Hono.js running on Cloudflare and utilizing Neon (a serverless PostgreSQL provider) so familiarity with any of them or any similar stack is a huge plus.

Rive is being considered to be used as part of the tech stack for dealing with animations as well as Tamagui for dealing with styling.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and other developers to conceptualize and translate Figma designs into cross-platform solutions on React Native.
• Lead the design, architecture, development of cross-platform solutions built on React Native being delivered to Web, iOS and Android.
• Use NodeJS based frameworks to implement a serverless cloud-native backend on Cloudflare.

Hard Skills - Must have:

• Strong experience with designing and implementing cross-platform applications using Typescript and ReactNative.
• Solid understanding of mobile app development principles, including UI/UX design, performance optimization, and responsive layouts.
• Knowledge of serverless backend development including experience with NodeJS, RESTful APIs and SQL.
• Understanding of cloud serverless technologies (Cloudflare preferred).
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery.

Hard Skills - Nice to have/It's a plus:

• Experience with Expo for React Native development
• Experience using Rive for animation as well as Tamagui (or similar like Tailwind) for design/styling.
• Experience integrating with cross-platform In App Purchases (IAP) like Stripe / RevenueCat.
• Experience with Hono.js integrated with Cloudflare.
• Experience with Neon framework for serverless integration with PostgreSQL

Soft Skills:
