External Communications Coordinator

The External Communications Coordinator for Equifax Workforce Solutions (EWS) plays a key role in supporting the Strategic Communications function for the largest and fastest-growing business unit within Equifax. Your primary functions will include three key areas: 1. managing content; 2. developing/ writing content; and 3. supporting program operations. While your key responsibilities will be in External Communications, you will also gain valuable experience in Internal Communications. What you'll do
- Organize core external communications materials and lead the process of conducting regular and timely updates.
- Draft content including media materials, newsroom articles and announcements.
- Coordinate stakeholder review process for press releases and newsroom articles.
- Format, proofread and coordinate publication of content such as press releases and newsroom articles.
- Conduct research in support of initiatives including media response guides, communications playbooks, thought leadership programs and media outreach efforts.
- Manage external communications project tracker, media outreach calendar and citation library.
- Leverage media monitoring software to identify emerging coverage as well as to track the results of proactive communications campaigns.
- Prepare reports and presentation materials that effectively demonstrate the outcomes of key external communications initiatives.
- In addition to external communications responsibilities, support the internal communications programs as needed.
- Provide suggestions, ideas, and support for improving current or new communications programs. You will be working in a dynamic environment with opportunities to develop new skills and channel your creativity toward new challenges.
What experience you need
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism or a related field
- 2+ years' professional experience in the corporate communications, media relations, public relations or journalism field (may include internship experience)
- 2+ years' experience writing compelling content in accordance with AP Style guidelines
- 2+ year's experience managing multiple projects while delivering high-quality results

- Experience working in a public relations agency or for a publicly traded company
- Experience working in the financial services or technology sectors
