Who are we looking for?

We're looking for an Executive Advisor-Engagement and Communications to join our Advisory practice.

The primary role of the Executive Advisor - Engagement and Communications is to develop an Engagement and Communications (E&C) team within the Advisory Americas Commercial Business Group, to lead business development for the E&C team, and strengthen technical development of E&C skillset within GHD Americas. The role can be based in most GHD office locations throughout the US and Canada. GHD supports a hybrid work model.

In this diverse role you will:

• Contribute to the strategy direction and leadership team of the Business Group.
• Leverage internal and external relationships and lead effective business development activities aligned to the business plan.
• Assess market trends and identify future market opportunities (short term and greater than six months forward) and convert into future projects.
• Develop E&C service offering which enhances outcomes for existing clients, secures new clients and builds GHD's market share and reputation for client service excellence.
• Demonstrate effective client engagement and actively contribute to thought leadership to cement GHD's position as a trusted advisor and industry leader.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, and technical specialists, to deliver integrated and comprehensive client solutions.
• Provide technical direction and input on major tenders/bids or proactive client proposals.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, Project Directors, and Project Managers.
• Provide technical guidance and expertise to projects and initiatives.
• Oversee the successful execution of projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet or exceed client expectations.
• Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing and client service.
• Monitor and manage resource allocation across proposals, projects and opportunities of the defined team in conjunction with other Team Leads.
• Liaise with project managers, service line leads and managers across GHD to connect the team to project opportunities.
• Mentor the growth and development of junior team members, lead recruitment of team members. Provide line management support and forward forecast on resource availability.

What will you bring to the team?

• Requires related degree and 15+ years' experience in a communications role supporting business development activities.
• Experience developing impactful comms and engagement campaigns for clients
• Must have previous experience in A/E/C and professional services.
• Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
• Superior presentation skills with an influential flair
