Applied Materials is seeking a Global EHS Communication and Learning and Development specialist. The individual will be responsible for overseeing EHS communication messaging, including coordination with subject-matter-experts in creating EHS messaging for Applied Materials. Desired candidate will have experience in using tools to create communications packages and in overseeing the planning and development of interactive and creative videos for EHS communication and training content. Overall, the individual will play a crucial role in EHS learning and development projects, creating high-quality visual content, implementing effective communication strategies, managing training documentation and video files, and providing performance improvement services to support a culture of safety, and continuous improvement within the organization. In addition, this role will assist in implementing a new integrated EHS data system (Benchmark Gensuite) to all global regions. The implementation of the new EHS data system will include developing training material, creating testing protocols, project-managing testing, and feedback from stakeholders, interacting with internal and external teams to ensure smooth implementation of Benchmark Gensuite. This position reports to the EHS Centers of Excellence Director.

Key responsibilities include:

- Oversee the planning, development, implementation of EHS communication to global Applied Materials workforce.

- Execute plan to implement the new EHS data systems (Benchmark Gensuite), including developing training content, project-managing various tasks as directed by operations manager, and ensuring smooth implementation and integration of the system.

- Develop and implement effective communication strategies for environmental, health, and safety practices within the organization.

- Create and disseminate informative materials such as newsletters, brochures, presentations, and digital content.

- Coordinate employee training sessions and organize safety campaigns.

- Ensure consistent and accurate messaging across various communication channels.

- Collaborate with subject matter experts to create training materials and resources for environmental, health, and safety practices.

- Coordinate training sessions and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

- Analyze training needs, identify gaps, and design effective strategies to address them.

- Develop training and technical documentation/videos as requested by the Applied Materials management team.

- Collaborate with management to create a storyboard for creative videos to support EHS communication campaign or training modules.

- Capture and record visual content using video cameras and related equipment.

- Fully produce, edit, and perform quality reviews of all EHS videos.

- Publish the videos as specified by management.

- Upload all video files to the Applied Materials server.

- Manage and organize all Applied Materials EHS training documentation and video files in the Applied Materials server.

- Implement performance improvement services as requested by the Applied Materials management team.

Education:

Required - B.S. level degree or equivalent in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Facilities EHS, Industrial Hygiene, or a related science/engineering discipline.

Preferred - M.S. level degree or equivalent in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Facilities EHS, Industrial Hygiene, or a related science/engineering discipline.

Experience:

  • 8+ years in Environmental Health and Safety
  • Prior experience with software in creative content creation

U.S. Salary Range:

$128,000.00 - $176,000.00

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
