ROLE SUMMARY

The Pediatric and Maternal Vaccines Consumer Vertical is part of the Consumer Vaccines Franchise, which sits within Pfizer Vaccines. This Vertical includes Abrysvo (maternal), Comirnaty (pediatric), Prevnar 20 (pediatric), Penbraya (pediatric) and Trumenba (pediatric). Currently, there are four brands in the launch/planning phase.
The Consumer Marketing Director will contribute to and operate in a fast-paced environment, leading all advertising efforts, including both branded and unbranded, across one or more brands within the Vertical, as well as flawlessly execute prioritized marketing strategies and tactics to grow consumer adoption, in addition to special projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Help design and own the consumer brand(s') strategic foundation, including identifying synergies within vertical that have the potential to elevate brand performance.
  • Partner with CMO Organization to champion and deliver breakthrough campaigns and promotional efforts tied to a seamless patient experience.
  • Owner of all promotional efforts, including review with leadership, testing, optimization, shoots, RC and finalization.
  • In partnership with cross-functional partners, determine the optimal media approach (branded/unbranded, channel mix, targeting) to drive maximum impact, including leading incremental funding business cases.
  • Lead segmentation / refining patient journey/ points of impact.
  • Messaging hierarchy oversight & reviewing research to ensure messaging is strategically tied to drivers/barriers.
  • Competitive owner and will partner with CoLab and cross functionals to identify brand implications.
  • Act as retail liaison and collaborate with colleagues to lead partnerships with external partners.
  • Ensure customer insights are at the forefront of all marketing efforts while considering messaging and creative opportunities across an optimized media mix.
  • Manage all critical action items and ensure deliverables are met by date and budget, partnering with internal cross-functional colleagues (Medical, Legal, Regulatory Review Committee, Business Analytics and Insights, Media) and agency partners.
  • Embed foundational analytics capabilities (e.g. dashboards, tracking/reporting metrics and KPIs) via collaboration with analytics team and rapidly adjust engagement approach based on new insights.
  • Use real-time customer behavior to sharpen customer segmentation and execution of marketing mix to deliver content that is most relevant and timely and adopt best practices to improve efficiencies.
  • Conduct all responsibilities in accordance with Company policies, with a strong adherence to our Values including compliance.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience required, or Master's degree and 9+ years of experience, or Ph.D./PharmD and 7+ years of experience required.
  • 1-2 years of marketing experience
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, analytical and project management skills.
  • Experience in leading consumer digital/social required.
  • Ability to understand Consumer needs and translate these into meaningful strategies and tactics.
  • Be an active contributor to create and operate in an environment that continuously encourages the implementation of innovative ideas and fosters a culture of collaboration and teamwork across functional teams.
  • Ability to move fast in response to what is happening in the external marketplace.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, ability to mobilize key stakeholders and engage senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and navigate within a complex organizational matrix achieving results through others across functions, geographies and a variety of personality styles.
  • Strong ability to engage and influence team members, both internally and externally, even without direct reporting relationships.
  • A commitment to excellence - both in the results achieved and in how they are achieved.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Vaccines experience and MBA preferred.
  • Pharmaceutical marketing/consumer marketing.
  • Consumer Director or very seasoned Consumer Senior Marketing Manager preferred.
  • Familiarity with Pfizer processes and systems.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $149,200.00 to $248,600.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
