ROLE SUMMARY
Pfizer's Biopharma, Patient and Centre for Digital Innovation (BPC) team are responsible for the creation, configuration, launch, and support of all externally facing digital (web, mobile, omni-channel, & device) products, platforms, services, and experiences, servicing all external customer types at Pfizer.
In addition, they are accountable for our Marketing Technology architecture inclusive of Digital Platforms, Digital Channel Enablement, Content Management and Marketing/Marketer Tools and for driving Digital Enablement within Pfizer.
Within this team, Portfolio and Solutions Delivery Leadership are critical elements of the team function. The Director, Solutions Delivery and Portfolio Lead role is a key position responsible for overseeing the portfolio of project and program activity in the overall Marketing Technology Platforms team along with managing a team of solutions delivery professionals who will manage these projects.
This role is for an appropriately qualified and skilled global project manager who has 10+ years either directly in Marketing Technology or a related discipline within the Pharmaceutical Industry. The role is a leadership role, but the successful candidate will also be expected to manage projects in addition to their leadership commitments.
Collaborating closely with other key cross-functional teams, this role delivers solutions, drives innovation through experimentation, and anticipates needs of marketers in the delivery of key projects within Marketing Technology. The commercial effectiveness of the solutions delivered in this role is equally as important as the standard of the engineering we use to build the solutions. This role will be a key influencer in the delivery of marketing technology solutions for Pfizer.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Project Management: Lead and manage the delivery of solutions and projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they meet quality standards, timelines, and budgetary constraints.
  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. This may involve managing diverse teams.
  • Portfolio Management: Manage a portfolio of projects or initiatives, prioritizing them based on strategic objectives, resource availability, and organizational priorities.
  • Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including the Chief Marketing Office, the International Commercial Office, Vendors and others in Digital.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with projects delivery and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
  • Resource Allocation: Allocate resources effectively across different projects within the portfolio, ensuring that the right skills and expertise are available to support project delivery.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, in accordance with the Pfizer Digital standard practices for Financial Management.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors or third-party service providers as needed, ensuring that they deliver according to agreed-upon standards and contractual obligations.
  • Reporting and Governance: Provide regular updates when needed on the status of projects within the portfolio, including progress, issues, and risks. Ensure compliance with organizational governance frameworks and standards.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in business or information management or related discipline.
  • Certified Project Manager.
  • 10+ years relevant experience for the role.
  • Marketing Project Management experience
  • Global Solution/Project Delivery experience in the Marketing Technology domain.
  • Understanding of the regulations and best practices of digital solution development in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Team leadership, coaching and facilitation experience.
  • Ability to influence and negotiate on behalf of the team and to negotiate commercially on behalf of the company.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Curiosity and comfort with rapidly changing ambiguous situations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in a matrix environment with geographically distributed resources, and establish strong partnerships with senior stakeholders, with a talent to explain complex topics simply.
  • Global experience running projects.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and digital asset management (DAM) platforms. Knowledge web analytics tools is preferred.
  • Creative Thinking and Problem-Solving skills: Ability to think creatively and innovate. This includes staying updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing data and metrics in conjunction with sounds judgement to make critical decisions on behalf of the team.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: The landscape that this role operates in is very fast moving. The ability to adapt is a key ask of the role.
  • Ability to work with others in a constructive and collaborative manner & influence others outside of the immediate span of control.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Travel is a key part of this role. Expectations around travel will vary but you will need to be able to travel globally. Our business is a 7x24x365 endeavor. This role may on occasion require physical or virtual participation on a weekend, holiday, or after normal business hours

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $161,600.00 to $269,400.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
