Everspring is a leading provider of education technology and service solutions. We are seeking an energetic, detailed, and motivated team player to join our team as Director of Marketing Implementation. The Director is the primary point of contact for the client and all internal departments involved in the implementation process for marketing engagements. This role will work as a liaison with partner contacts and internal departments to help ensure the successful establishment of a partnership.

The Director oversees and supports multiple implementation projects, including client onboarding, reviewing marketing project plans, ensuring work meets milestones/goals, and being completed on time. This individual needs a solid background in senior-level marketing positions. They may be involved in pre-sales work and providing assistance in scoping projects and developing proposals. The Director must have extensive knowledge of marketing strategy and the higher education industry. A clear understanding of current marketing and advertising trends and application to client strategy is essential.

The ideal candidate is passionate about marketing in higher education and working with traditional universities to differentiate their programs for students.

This role reports to the SVP of Operations and is located in Chicago, Illinois. We offer a hybrid work structure with 2 days required in-the-office every week.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple marketing implementation projects; track and report on implementations operations.
  • Maintain singular accountability for all aspects of the implementation process by holding all project resources accountable to the completion of tasks and meeting the project milestone dates.
  • Responsible for the overall account health and profitability of clients, providing the executive team with partnership updates, when clients are at risk and where there are potential opportunities to grow existing client relationships.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies tailored to partners, utilizing email, and conducting effective meetings (setting agendas, identifying action items, etc.) to foster strong collaborative relationships.
  • Regularly engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather insights, discuss objectives, and address concerns, ensuring effective two-way communication channels.
  • Craft detailed and compelling marketing plans and proposals, incorporating market research and data analysis, to articulate strategies and initiatives effectively while staying within the bounds of the contracted work.
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of marketing projects, from conceptualization to delivery, ensuring alignment with timelines and budget constraints.
  • Review campaign conceptual direction to ensure strategic marketing objectives remain in focus as well as media plans and creative strategies before submission to clients.
  • Work closely with internal creative, email, SEO, paid and project management teams to translate marketing strategies into actionable plans, coordinating efforts for seamless execution.
  • Facilitate regular collaboration sessions, encouraging open communication, and fostering a collaborative environment to maximize the collective expertise of diverse functional teams.
  • Partner with the leadership team to identify, develop, and implement appropriate approaches, processes, and tools that increase client satisfaction.
  • Handle client complaints, or as appropriate escalate internally, and provide appropriate solutions and/or alternatives; following-up to ensure resolution.
  • Assist in training and process documentation.
  • Continually acquire knowledge of our partners, solutions, and industry.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience at a marketing agency. Prior experience in higher education, implementation, client services and/or project management preferred
  • Ability to handle increasingly high volume of work (multiple projects across multiple partners) in a fast paced, deadline driven environment in a calm manner
  • Must possess a strong combination of project management skills, familiarity with enterprise software and systems, and client development/relationship management
  • Demonstrated influence and leadership ability in a matrixed environment, and collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong attention to detail
  • Robust planning, prioritization, organization, time management skills
  • Eagerness to learn, willingness to ask questions
  • Ability to use creative thinking to identify and solve problems
  • Ability to travel up to 30% time, nationally
