Job Description:

Hard disk drive read channel digital design, concentrating on digital signal processing and error correction decoding. Qualified candidates will:

  • Work closely with architects to develop design specifications
  • Work closely with analog design engineers to define end-to-end mixed signal datapath systems
  • Responsible for HDL coding, lint checking, CDC checking and RTL & gate-level simulation development and debug
  • Produce verification and silicon validation plans
  • Work with implementation teams to review results from synthesis, STA and logical equivalence checks
  • Provide input to program managers to produce project resource requirements and schedules
  • Develop automation to support design & verification tasks

Job Requirements:

  • B.S degree in EE or Computer Engineering with minimum of 8 years of related experience, or M.S degree in EE or Computer Engineering with minimum 6 years of related experience
  • Hard disk drive and read/write channel knowledge is a plus
  • Knowledge of Verilog, System Verilog, UVM techniques, UNIX, Perl and Python scripting, Matlab, and C/C++
  • Understanding of the IC development flow, from RTL to silicon
  • Familiarity with low power design techniques
  • Familiarity with multi clock designs
  • Ability to work with teams at remote locations and in different time zones
  • Self-motivation, excellent communication skills and ability to excel in a team environment

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $91,200 - $152,000.

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
