Description

Title: Dev Ops Engineer

Location: Carmel, IN (Can work remotely but need to be able to commute to a onsite meeting weekly as needed)

The ideal candidate would work well in an Agile environment, desire to be part of an elite team, is a team player, and is a skilled DevOps engineer who understands and has implemented leading-edge technologies and applications. Actively participate in full life cycle application development.

They would possess strong problem-solving skills, be a critical thinker, and have a customer service attitude and focus. They would also be a motivated self-starter who can work independently and in teams. They are someone who takes pride and ownership of every project undertaken and be part of an organization that drives operational excellence, building simple transparent systems, automating processes, and embracing a culture of engineers.

Specific Responsibilities:• Work directly with engineering team members to effectively build and implement

software and infrastructure solutions.• Build and test automation tools for infrastructure provisioning and software

deployments.• Define and set development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps

operation.• Build, maintain, and monitor configuration standards.• Select and deploy appropriate CI/CD tools.• Document and design various processes and facilitate the adoption of standards.• Operationalize (logging, monitoring, reporting) of software and infrastructure assets• Assist in the planning of future system needs while following best practices and• procedures.• Participate in grooming sessions, demos, and quarterly planning activities.

Skills and Qualities:• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.• Previous experience with software development, infrastructure development, or IT

operations.• Experience with Linux infrastructure, database (SQL, Postgres, etc.), CI/CD processes,• scripting (PowerShell, Perl, Python, Terraform, etc.), and Microsoft Windows technologies.• Possess a strong personal desire and ability to produce error-free and well-tested

solutions that meet requirements.• Working knowledge of various tools, open-source technologies, and cloud services.• Awareness of critical concepts in DevOps and Agile principles• Application performance analysis and optimization.• Strong problem-solving and analysis; able to think outside the box.• Good team player with strong communication skills, interpersonal and organizational skills.• On-call rotation.• Knowledge and understanding of business functions.

Educational Requirements:• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field• Technology-related certifications

Experience Required:• Minimum of 3 years of development or IT operations experience• AWS and Azure-hosted software solutions• PowerShell, Terraform, Python automation• MSSQL Server / DynamoDB• GIT• CI/CD administration• Agile methodology
