Job Description

The Development Strategy Analyst is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of KFC Global Growth and Development strategies through project leadership and analytic support of global Development teams, including franchise and corporate restaurant development, market planning and penetration strategies, and new restaurant and reinvestment analyses.

Analysis

  • Provide analytic support for KFC Development-related strategies, processes, and policies.
  • Provide strategic framework development, financial modeling, and insight-based analysis to drive Global growth.
  • Manage the ongoing tracking and review of incentive agreements and communicate meaningful insights to key stakeholders.

Reporting

  • Develop and maintain dashboards to assess new restaurant growth, reinvestment actions, and sales/investment results more effectively.
    • Incorporate cross-functional insights (consumer, operating metrics, etc.).
    • Communicate meaningful and concise insights to the global development team and the KFC global leadership team.
  • Develop and maintain key suite of standard reporting and analytics that enable team productivity, accelerate decision-making, improve forecasting, and drive insight-based action.
  • Own the development reporting and forecasting process by consolidating and analyzing information for KFC global leadership team.

Strategic Initiatives

  • Drive development of Asset Information System (AIS) strategy execution, driving system enhancements and field adoption to establish a comprehensive, automated view of key Development information.
  • Unlock accelerated growth by leading initiatives behind data-driven market plans, including:
    • Establishing market planning subcommittee.
  • Building and leading global center of excellence.
  • Facilitating the sharing and adoption of best practices.
  • Enhancing our data capabilities to enable richer, real-time data pulls.
  • Standardizing market planning capabilities globally and across brands.

Other Development Support

  • Support capital planning forecast and P&L/NFA forecast items related to global development.
  • Support KFC global LT as needed in planning, business reviews, and ad hoc projects.

Education/Certifications

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, or related field.

Experience

Required:

  • Development, strategy, or finance experience with demonstrated organizational impact and increasing responsibility.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Self-motivated, intellectually curious, logical thinker, and Customer Maniac.
  • Desire to have a large commercial impact on the organization.
  • Proven track record driving results through creative thinking and problem solving.
  • Project management and organization capability.
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent communication with ability to present to senior leadership.
  • Experience modeling complex business issues to influence decisions through data.
  • Ability to manage high-volume workload and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience in multi-unit restaurant/retail industry.
  • Familiarity with MicroStrategy, Power BI, computer programming, GIS, and other real estate-related tools.
  • Experience with dashboards and reporting automation.
