As a Designer at SixSpeed, you will bring intentional and genuine ideas into existence through typography, photography, illustration, graphic elements, motion and consumer interactions. You’ll build adventurous brands, create inspiring visual communication, and engage people in purpose-driven creative work. We’re looking for an open-minded designer to conceptualize with the team and make artful, hierarchically-sound, creative-pushing decisions to defy convention.

THE TASK AT HAND

  • Show proficiency in concepts, executional craft, and communication as foundational tools for creative
  • Follow brand guidelines and standards while finding ways to push the creative in a new direction
  • Concept and dream, but execute and follow through
  • Comprehend, maintain and push the visual language and tone of a brand
  • Articulate your ideas to your peers, present work to clients with confidence, and react to feedback with an open, growth-mindset
  • Support the development of design executions that are on brand and meet client objectives
  • Take direction and prioritize quality while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Advocate for creative solutions while understanding the intention of the project and staying true to a brand’s purpose
  • Have an understanding of the needs of production across print and digital and create clean, organized, production-ready files across a wide variety of deliverables and platforms
  • Keep up with current trends, industry knowledge, and incorporate them into your craft
  • Work with external and internal partners to select materials, colors, treatments and finishes
  • Proof and press check designs while maintaining the integrity and quality of the work
  • Prioritize diversity and inclusion, especially when working with external and internal partners

WHO YOU ARE

  • 3-6 years of experience as a designer in the advertising or marketing industry with the portfolio to show for it
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Primarily: Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign)(Nice-To-Have: Cinema 4D, SketchUp, Sketch, InVision, Figma, XD, Animate, After Effects, Lightroom, Bridge and Premiere)
  • Strong sense of typography, color theory, composition
  • Curious, optimistic and can’t help but explore multiple solutions 
  • Knowledge of printing processes, material selection and treatments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • An accountable owner of projects from start to finish
  • Obsessed with growing your craft
  • Attention to detail and visual precision
  • Embrace constraints and are fueled by the challenge
  • Always drawing inspiration from the world around you
  • Open-minded, positive, action-oriented and above all, a strong team player
