We are looking for a talented Credit Risk Analyst to join our exceptional Credit Risk team. In this role, you will play a key role in evaluating the backgrounds of Constrafor’s customers to determine their eligibility for our exciting Early Pay Program. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing and underwriting our subcontractor clients and their counterparties, ensuring the performance and health of our portfolio. You will collaborate closely with the entire team to ensure successful execution of our Credit business strategy. This is an opportunity to truly make a significant impact in a high growth company.

📝 Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate creditworthiness of new and existing contractor businesses that are looking to participate in our Early Pay Program.
  • Perform due diligence using both internal and external datasets and prepare underwriting files on potential customers. 
  • Analyze financial statements, bank statements, credit reports, and other relevant documents to assess risk.
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of the company’s credit policies and procedures and identify exceptions to policy with potential resolutions.
  • Incorporate existing credit scoring models and methodologies to enhance risk assessment processes.
  • Monitor credit portfolios and identify potential risks and emerging trends.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including servicing, account management, and sales to ensure a transparent and efficient underwriting process.

📈 Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience in commercial underwriting or credit risk analysis
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with PACER, NYSCEF, UCCs, or Dun & Bradstreet, is a plus.   
  • Ability to manage a growing portfolio without sacrificing the integrity of our credit risk guidelines. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess the drive and curiosity needed to work in a lean team and a fast-paced, highly productive entrepreneurial environment.   
  • Ability to communicate effectively and continuously with team members and external parties.
  • Experience working in a startup is a plus.
