Job Description:

Role Summary/Purpose:

The AVP, Lifecycle and Loyalty Marketing for Rooms To Go will play a strategic role in owning the development of the customer journey, defining key touchpoints, and executing programs that drive deeper engagement with cardholders. This role will own the lifecycle marketing strategies including but not limited to early month on books, promotional sales emails, driving repeat purchase via life stage trigger marketing, and growing the overall value of the Rooms To Go credit card. This individual will work collaboratively with the Marketing Leader, VP of Digital, Rooms To Go sales team, Analytics, SYF's cross-functional team for RTG and the partner to drive incremental card usage.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop and own the overall lifecycle strategy for all cardholders - from acquisition to cardholder's lifetime.
  • Monitor and test any improvements to our EMOB strategy
  • Design and execute cardholder lifecycle campaigns that drive repeat and overall revenue to the program.
  • Connect data knowledge through Data Share and RTG's CRM to identify addtl opportunities to drive loyalty.
  • Understand and incorporate the client's key business objectives, strategic vision, and marketing calendar into the planning process to achieve objectives.
  • Conduct industry and competitive reviews and communicate lifecycle marketing best practices to our Partner and our internal marketing and sales teams.
  • Evaluate the current cardholder opportunities w/ Rooms To Go leading to the ownership and refinement of the annual plan. Communicate and manage overall updates, manage execution and recommend strategic shifts as needed.
  • Leverage analytics to identify and provide actionable insights to client timely; sell in strategies to Rooms To Go and provide measurement of all activities to determine success.
  • Establish and develop key relationships with the Rooms To Go Marketing teams.
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree; OR in lieu of degree, 9+ years of progressive experience in a marketing or customer analytics role at financial services organization.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in a marketing or customer analytics to include:
  • 3+ years of lifecycle customer experience-oriented
  • Ability to travel as needed; ~ 10%

Desired Characteristics:

  • A minimum of 4 years of product marketing experience to include a minimum of 2 years of lifecycle management, development and/or marketing planning and execution
  • Breadth of knowledge and experience in marketing B2C/B2B/B2B2C
  • Highly effective working with cross-functional teams and external clients; able to negotiate and influence to define and deliver on priorities
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience within financial services, preferably within consumer retail financing
  • Outstanding communications, relationship building, influencing and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the financial services and payments industries highly preferred
  • Positive, high-energy attitude with a passion for consumer and client marketing.
  • You are in-the-know of all things lifecycle and can speak well to the latest trends in experience including mobile, eCommerce, payments, etc.
  • Enjoy a balance of strategic work with hands-on-implementation
  • Organized, resourceful and results driven. Tenacity to get stuff done.
  • High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
  • Can self-manage and work autonomously with a remote, dispersed team

Grade/Level: 11

The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older
  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
  • N ew hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
