Job Description
Associate Project Manager (Remote)
The Associate Project Manager (APM) reports to the Senior Manager of Implementation and will manage a portfolio of projects from point of sale through new implementation before project completion / turnover to the Support and Account Management teams. The APM will manage overall project success to include the communication, schedule, scope, risks, and resourcing. The APM will work closely with technical implementation resources, Engineering, Product, Sales, Account Management, and Solution Enablement teams to implement solutions and is the primary customer contact throughout Implementation. Strong communication and leadership skills are required to work in a collaborative environment with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Manage all project administrative/management activities of multiple simultaneous projects
- Manage and report on various project budgets and timelines
- Plan all aspects of complex software implementation projects and other assignments.
- Manage project scope, forecast, resources, and deliverables within specified deadlines while continuously assessing the client's ability to change relative to the agreed scope
- Work directly with the client project management team throughout all project phases
- Proactively identify significant project risks, develop mitigation strategies, escalate to leadership, and implement approved mitigation steps
- Provide internal and external project status reporting, ensuring all stakeholders receive the required level of detail.
- Actively lead status meetings with the client and project team. Complete weekly reports for customer projects and internal updates
- Lead internal process improvement initiatives within the Implementation team and wider organization
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Possess wide-based product knowledge, with strengths specifically in interfacing, databases, and telecom
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Excellent organization, mutli-tasking, and detail-oriented
- Able to quickly learn new software, processes, and functionality of new products
- Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently
- Demonstrates strong drive, initiative, and intellectual curiosity
- Ability to plan and execute risk management
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
Basic Qualifications:
- One year of healthcare or technology industry experience
- One year of project planning, coordination, and/or management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 2+ years of demonstrated project management experience
- 1+ years of work experience in the healthcare field
- 1+ years of experience in the pharmacy or clinical operations
- PMI Project Management certification (CAPM, PMP, etc.)
Work Conditions:
- Remote
- Travel; less than 10%
- Work across multiple time zones
- Extended hours in front of a computer and using video technology
