Description

The Alumni Communications Advisor will be responsible for offering advisory support to prospective residents over email, to help them learn more about Codesmith and prepare for the Software Engineering Immersive. The purpose of the Alumni Communications Advisor is to provide additional support to people who are interested in applying to Codesmith’s programs and guide them in their software engineering journeys. This position will work closely with the Content & Community team.

Responsibilities 

  • Succinctly and fully answer, advise and support potential residents through email to ensure they feel personally heard and communicated to regarding the preparation process for our programs. 
  • Effectively communicate Codesmith values and honestly relay the Codesmith experience before, during, and after the program
  • Keep up to date on Codesmith’s programs and processes
  • Loop in other team members when required, and follow up with potential students via email as needed

Experience

  • Graduate of Codesmith’s Software Engineering Immersive 
  • Currently working as a software engineer
  • Previous writing experience a plus (including but not limited to coursework in writing/journalism/ literature background)

Location 

100% Remote, candidate must be based in the US

Salary

$25.00 per hour, 5-10 hour a week commitment
