The Forging/CPM Engineer at AAM is responsible for implementing manufacturing techniques, processes, and machinery to maximize throughput and eliminate waste. They manage the implementation of new processes, select equipment, identify optimal tooling, and resolve design issues. This role requires 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing plant environment.

Participates in project planning, design development, testing, and release of new products and product enhancements. Translates customer requirements into product specifications, conducts product validation, and coordinates testing. Supports product launch activities and maintains documentation throughout the product development process.

Final and in process inspection of tooling, components, and prototype parts using CMM and various gauges. Program and operate Zeiss CMM using Calypso software. Read blueprints, perform measurements, and complete customer inspection reports. Perform preventive maintenance tasks.
