Job Description
As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) Architecture Lead, you will drive the technology strategy, architecture, and operational excellence of critical tech domains. Your role encompasses establishing technology roadmaps, defining end-to-end architecture, and integrating industry best practices. Leveraging SRE principles, you'll implement reliable, scalable, and efficient solutions. Collaborating with stakeholders, you'll optimize technology implementations and inform investment decisions aligned with business objectives. Continuously learning and staying updated on emerging trends, you'll introduce modern SRE best practices and develop a repository of design patterns. Your contributions will shape technology strategy, facilitate architectural excellence, and drive reliable and scalable technology implementations.
The key responsibilities of the Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) Architecture Lead, highlighting their role in driving technology strategy, implementing SRE principles, and optimizing technology implementations for reliability and scalability.
Architecture Responsibilities:

  • Define end-to-end conceptual, logical, and technical design of specific domain's architecture(s), working closely with other key stakeholders to ensure progress of technical and business goals.
  • Ensure that industry-accepted architecture principles, standards, guidelines, and concepts are integrated with those of allied domains, and coordinate rollout and adoption strategies.
  • Review requirements and architecture to ensure the selection of appropriate technology and efficient use of resources.
  • Understand, implement, and automate integrations with other tools, technologies, security controls, governance processes, and compliance validation.
  • Develop a library of deployable and documented design patterns and reference architectures.


SRE Responsibilities:

  • Provide deep technical expertise as an SRE, implementing technical processes that enable reliable, scalable, and efficient solutions.
  • Apply SRE principles and methodologies to drive holistic, scalable technology implementations that prioritize system reliability and performance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and users to optimize technology solutions, applying SRE practices for enhanced system resilience.
  • Bring SRE expertise and best practices to architecture discussions, ensuring architectural decisions align with SRE principles for reliability, scalability, and efficient operation.
  • Establish strong working relationships with business and technology leaders to drive capability-led investment planning decisions informed by SRE principles.


Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree Required.


Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering and system architecture, with experience in SRE methodologies.
  • Proven ability to define the end-to-end conceptual, logical, and technical designs of architectures, aligning them with technical and business goals.
  • Familiarity with industry-accepted architecture principles, standards, and guidelines, integrating them into architecture design.
  • Excellent understanding of SRE principles and ability to apply them to ensure reliable and scalable systems. (Automation, Incident Response, Observability, Service Level Objectives, etc.)
  • Experience with Cloud technologies for IaaS and PaaS. (AWS preferred)
  • Experience in implementing technical processes and solutions that prioritize system reliability, performance, and scalability.
  • Experience with Metrics, Signals and Logs handling for observability managing SLIs/SLOs/SLAs. (Grafana and Dynatrace preferred.)
  • Experience in automation development and job scheduling systems. (AutoSys preferred, bash, python, SQL Procedures)
  • Experience with Relational Databases management, clustering, SQL language and resource utilization. (Oracle, SAP HANA preferred)
  • Solid collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with stakeholders and users.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, applying SRE practices to review requirements and architecture for optimal technology selection and resource utilization.
  • Continuous learning mindset to stay up-to-date with technology trends, incorporating modern SRE best practices into the organization's IT ecosystem.
  • Proven track record in building relationships with business and technology leaders, applying SRE methodologies to inform investment decisions.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model
Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence. Expected salary range:
$111,400.00 - $175,300.00
