Senior Flight Test Engineer position at Sogeclair, an aerospace engineering company specializing in design, manufacturing, integration, and certification of aerospace components and systems. Responsibilities include test planning, execution, and reporting, operating experimental aircraft, coordinating testing activities, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Performs the coordination and integration of different departments to ensure that the aircraft or components are on schedule, mitigate risks in a timely manner, and the aircraft/components meet quality and safety levels.

Responsible for performing stress analysis on complex aerospace structures, managing development projects, and providing technical expertise on structural design. Must have a strong understanding of interior accommodations, stress reports, and aircraft certification processes.

Lead a team of Stress Engineers in aerospace engineering projects, oversee technical compliance, and collaborate with internal and external partners to achieve program goals.

Perform sizing and support analysis activities for design changes, improvements, and new aircraft development programs. Support different teams to ensure a quality product with supporting documentation are produced. Write structural substantiation reports and create/update certification DFEMs.

Proficiency in CATIA V5, Enovia, MSC Patran, Nastran, Altair Hypermesh, Nasgro, and knowledge of civil aircraft certification rules required.

Influence design standards for MRB items, lead root cause investigation and resolution process for aircraft level issues, recommend cost-effective engineering solutions, participate in audits, resolve manufacturing issues, support programs in major manufacturing issues, provide technical guidance to programs and Corrective Action Review Board, validate technical processes, enforce adherence to BES practices, share industry and regulatory developments, and lead multi-disciplinary projects in aerospace engineering.
