Position Description
Zayo is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to collaborate with business stakeholders and play a crucial role in driving data-driven decision-making processes and providing actionable insights to support strategic business initiatives.
As a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of BI solutions, as well as conducting in-depth analysis of complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization. The position requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of business operations, and the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
Responsibilities
Business Intelligence Strategy:

• Develop and implement strategic BI initiatives to support business objectives and drive organizational growth.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define BI requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.

Data Analysis and Visualization:

• Conduct comprehensive analysis of large and complex data sets using advanced analytical techniques and tools.
• Design and develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders.

Data Modeling and Architecture:

• Design and maintain data models and architecture to support BI solutions, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
• Optimize data structures and processes to enhance performance and scalability of BI systems.

Performance Monitoring and Optimization:

• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
• Recommend and implement optimizations to enhance data quality, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.

Strategic Decision Support:

• Provide strategic decision support to senior management and key stakeholders by translating data insights into actionable recommendations.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis and scenario modeling to support strategic planning and decision-making processes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and other departments to understand business requirements and deliver effective BI solutions.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on BI best practices, tools, and technologies, providing guidance and support to internal teams.

Maintaining and Supporting Solutions:

• Hold meetings to demonstrate progress, and train the business partners on how to use the business analysis tool and dashboards
• Maintain a relationship with the business to understand changing needs, and continually provide support for updating views/documentation to keep up with those changes.
• Understand how processes and system functionality work together to achieve business goals and recommend new and/or changes to existing processes to streamline, automate & integrate, and meet application compliance requirements.
• Project Manage multiple projects and deliverables at once.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or related field required. Additional experience may be used in lieu of degree requirement.
• Proven experience of at least 7 (seven) years effectively gathering solution requirements through interviewing, listening, facilitating design sessions, and demonstrating analytical skills.
• Experience communicating information, both verbally and in writing, in simple, clear, and concise language; understandable to a wide audience with broad technical and non-technical backgrounds.
• Experience and ability to work with teams in multiple geographical locations.
• Experience in / knowledge of telecommunications industry through direct or indirect work experience is a plus.
• Salesforce environment knowledge.
• Proficiency in the Google Workspace suite of tools.
• Extensive experience with BI tools and platforms (preference given to Tableau) for data visualization and dashboard development.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and database technologies (e.g., Snowflake, MS SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres) is an asset.

Base Salary Range: $95,800 - $155,000, commensurate with experience.
