Job Description

We are establishing an ongoing pool of qualified resources that could be contacted if and when a suitable contract opportunity is presented. Please note this is not a employment position.

You will be contacted if and when we receive a suitable contract opportunity.  We anticipate that most contracts would be for the Canadian federal government and most of the work to be conducted in Ottawa.

Qualifications

We are looking for junior, intermediate and senior web developers. 


The resource must have 5 (5=junior, 5-9=intermediate, 10+=senior) or more years experience performing many of the following tasks:

  • Develop and prepare diagrammatic plans for web based service delivery over the internet.
  • Analyze the problems outlined by systems analysts/designers in terms of such factors as style

     and extent of information to be transferred across the internet.

  • Select and use the best available web development tools for linking the internet based client

     to the departmental “back end” information delivery programs and databases.

  • Design high-usability web pages to meet the requirement.
  • Verify accuracy and completeness of programs by preparing sample data, and testing them

      by means of system acceptance test runs made by operating personnel.

  • Correct program errors by revising instructions or altering the sequence of operations.
  • Test instructions, and assemble specifications, flow charts, diagrams, layouts, programming

     and operating instructions to document applications for later modification or reference

  • Most of the experience should have been obtained working with Canadian Government departments.

The resource should have a valid Government of Canada security clearance at a level of enhanced reliability or higher. 


Fluency in english and french will be considered an asset.
