About the Role
The VP of Sales, Global Client Services is a senior sales individual contributor role responsible for driving durable revenue growth across Great Place To Work’s global strategic accounts, strategic partners, and high-value enterprise client relationships. This leader serves as a trusted advisor to C-suite executives and senior decision makers, helping organizations connect workplace culture, employee experience, recognition, insights, and advisory solutions to measurable business outcomes.
This role will own a portfolio of high-touch clients, lead the sales strategy for renewals of enterprise-global clients, expansion, upsell, and strategic account growth within Global Client Services. The VP of Sales will partner closely with Client Relationship Management, Customer Success, Global Concierge, Advisory Services, Marketing, Product, Operations, and Executive Leadership to deliver a unified, high-quality client experience across global accounts and complex partnership models.
We are seeking a unique commercial professional who blends the rigorous analytical mindset of a management consultant with the execution and drive of an enterprise sales professional. This isn't a traditional product-pitching role; it is a highly consultative position designed for someone who can diagnose complex corporate challenges, speak fluently with C-suite executives, and architect high-value business outcomes. You will leverage your foundational skills in structured problem-solving and client advisory to uncover deep organizational pain points and champion our solutions as a trusted strategic partner.
The Ideal Candidate
You began your career in management, strategy, or technology consulting, where you mastered structured problem-solving, stakeholder management, and value-case creation. Recognizing your commercial drive, you transitioned into a revenue-generating, sales, or strategic account management track, proving you can not only design solutions but also successfully negotiate and close deals. You possess a rare blend of intellectual curiosity and commercial grit—you are just as comfortable diving deep into data and building ROI models as you are navigating complex enterprise procurement cycles and closing high-ticket quotas.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the commercial relationship, client experience, executive engagement strategy, risk management, and long-term growth plan for assigned global strategic accounts and high-value enterprise clients.
- Develop and execute account strategies that drive renewals, expansion, upsell, partner growth, and clear pathways into the Strategic Partner client base.
- Build trusted executive relationships and advise senior leaders on how workplace culture, employee experience, recognition, insights, and advisory solutions connect to business outcomes.
- Lead governance and execution for complex, multi-country engagements, navigating regional requirements, stakeholder complexity, timelines, languages, cultures, and regulatory considerations.
- Maintain executive-ready account plans, communication rhythms, risk logs, success metrics, pipeline visibility, forecasting discipline, and renewal planning cadences.
- Partner cross-functionally with Client Relationship Management, Customer Success, Global Concierge, Advisory Services, Marketing, Product, Operations, Finance, and Executive Leadership to align commercial strategy, delivery quality, and client outcomes.
- Translate client priorities, feedback, risks, and opportunities into practical recommendations, value expansion plans, escalation next steps, and experience improvements.
- Represent Great Place To Work’s model, methodology, products, services, insights, and value proposition in senior client conversations, business reviews, webinars, industry events, and high-impact networking opportunities.
- Simplify sales processes, strengthen collaboration, reduce friction, improve consistency, and support continuous improvement across the Global Client Services operating model.
What You'll Bring
- A Proven Blend of Consulting & Commercial Tracks: A foundational background in top-tier management consulting, corporate strategy, or professional services, paired with subsequent success in a quota-carrying enterprise sales, business development, or strategic account management role.
- Consultative & Value-Based Selling Mastery: An innate ability to move past feature-dumping, focusing instead on diagnosing root organizational challenges and mapping solutions directly to executive-level business outcomes.
- C-Suite Fluency: Exceptional executive presence with a track record of building credibility, navigating internal politics, and advising Fortune 500/Enterprise leaders.
- Analytical & Data-Driven Rigor: Strong business acumen and capability to independently build financial business cases, quantify ROI, and quarterback complex, multi-stakeholder deals.
- Bias for Action: The strategic mindset of an advisor combined with the competitive drive, resilience, and urgency of an elite closer.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive enterprise sales, strategic account management, or client relationship leadership experience in complex B2B environments, including success as a senior quota-carrying individual contributor with large strategic accounts.
- Demonstrated ability to lead sales strategy for large enterprise customers, global accounts, strategic partners, or high-value client portfolios with limited room for churn or delivery risk.
- Strong executive presence and experience building trusted relationships with C-suite executives and senior stakeholders, with the ability to influence, advise, and navigate complex buying groups.
- Experience in workplace culture, employee experience, human capital, SaaS, professional services, research, recognition, or advisory solutions.
- Strong commercial acumen across pipeline management, account planning, deal strategy, negotiation, pricing, forecasting, renewals, and performance accountability.
- Experience working in international business, global markets, or multi-country client delivery models.
- High judgment and professionalism, including discretion with confidential information and strong responsiveness to client and stakeholder needs.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create executive-ready communications, proposals, presentations, and client-facing deliverables.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple complex priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Salesforce, Gong, and related sales, collaboration, and customer engagement technologies.
- Experience partnering cross-functionally with Customer Success, Client Relationship Management, Advisory Services, Marketing, Product, Finance, Operations, or Concierge teams to deliver an integrated client experience.
- Ability to improve sales processes, operating rhythms, and cross-functional workflows for greater clarity, consistency, and execution quality.
- Ability to represent the organization externally through senior client meetings, webinars, conferences, thought leadership, or industry events.
- 20% travel; includes international travel as required
- U.S.-based only position
What Success Looks Like
- Revenue Growth: Renewal, expansion, upsell, and strategic account growth targets are met or exceeded, with clear progress across priority accounts.
- Forecasting Discipline: Pipeline, renewal, and account-level forecasts are accurate, timely, actionable, and supported by clear next steps.
- Client Experience: Executive relationships deepen, escalations are owned through resolution, and the client journey becomes more consistent, connected, and growth-oriented.
- Simplification: Sales processes and cross-functional workflows are clearer, easier to execute, and more effective for clients and internal teams.
