Position Summary


This position directs all aspects of the operations of multiple branches to ensure effective and efficient operations, quality of member service, and compliance with existing regulations and policies for each location. Supervises and appraises the activities of branch managers and ensures that all services are professionally delivered and members are well served.


Duties and Responsibilities


  • Define branch organizational structure and efficiency measures to be utilized for staffing decisions.
  • Ensures branch operations and member service are consistent and aligned across the branch network.
  • Foster relationships with corporate leaders and teams to ensure branches are served appropriately prior to new product/service rollouts.
  • Identify needs and assist in the development of training for branch personnel. Provide mentoring and coaching to support and develop managers and staff.
  • Establish, monitor, and maintain branch financial goals and objectives to include branch financial measures.
  • Provide direction and oversight to branch managers in the preparation of branch office budgets. Accountable for the planning and implementation of the branch administration budget.
  • Communicate goals and direction with branch mangers to ensure clear understanding and consistent with corporate strategy and vision.
  • Work with compliance officer to review, analyze, and implement any changes to operations as a result of state or federal regulation. 
  • Implement and monitor procedures to comply with credit union policies and governmental rules and regulations. Work with other department heads to maintain consistency in credit union policies and procedures. Develop and apply new policies and procedures for branch operations.
  • Oversee the lending procedures of the branches through branch managers. Monitor adherence to sound credit practices and administration policies.
  • Hire and oversee branch managers directly and branch staff indirectly. Maintain a well-trained, highly motivated staff.
  • Oversee the development and monitoring of performance standards. Provide mentoring and coaching to support and develop managers and staff.
  • Assist Audit Department with fraud investigations and resolutions of complex member complaints that originate from departments of direct report.
  • Assist branch managers in resolving complex member complaints.
  • Ensure the financial safety, soundness and security of the credit union and its membership.
  • Manage vendor relationships specific to branch operations
Qualifications

Knowledge


  • Knowledge of current federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to financial institutions.
  • Knowledge of branch operations.

Experience


  • Minimum of five year's management experience in a financial institution, preferably a credit union.
  • Minimum of three year's experience in consumer credit including loan application review and analysis, underwriting, and individual approval authority.
  • Supervisory experience required.

Education

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education and work experience.
