ABOUT OVERVIEW.AI

Overview.ai is bringing the cutting edge of AI computer vision to manufacturing, solving inspection problems that were previously not solvable with traditional machine vision. We're a full-stack company: we deploy GPU-powered cameras on production lines, run inference on the edge, and operate a platform that supports large fleets of devices deployed across the world.

We're growing extremely fast. Our customers love the product because it works: high accuracy, fast deployment, and an operator-friendly experience that makes real factory rollouts possible, not just pilots.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is not a cold start. We grew roughly 700% last year, and California already has major logos, executive buy in, and deployments running on real production lines today. Your job is to hunt new inspection points and new logos across the territory while turning first station wins into multi line, multi site rollouts. You will do both from day one: open cold and expand warm, roughly 50/50. You are selling at the exact moment manufacturing leadership is being told to deliver AI outcomes, and vision inspection is the most tangible way a factory gets there because it moves yield, scrap, throughput, and labor.

WHY THIS ROLE IS EXCITING
  • Territory ownership from day one: you own pipeline, forecast, and revenue for California, and you get credit and commission across every site in an account you own.

  • Delta selling, not slick talk: edge first performance and a feature set competitors do not have means you win on clear technical deltas you can demonstrate on the line.

  • Real support, not hero mode: a dedicated applications and engineering escalation path, plus a proven evaluation playbook and a defined first station to expansion motion.

  • Clear path up: Strategic Accounts, Regional Lead, player coach, and GM style ownership of a territory as we scale.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN
  1. Territory revenue: Own pipeline, forecasting, and revenue outcomes for California against qualified opportunities sourced by our BDR team and generated inbound. This is not a cold outreach role; prospecting is a dedicated function and you take the opportunity from creation to close.

  2. Technical discovery: Run high signal discovery with Quality, Process, Automation, and Ops to understand the actual manufacturing problem, how they solve inspection today, and where the incumbent fails.

  3. Technical showcase: Put the technology in front of the customer yourself. Demo the product, reason live on an unfamiliar inspection problem, and position Overview on real deltas: accuracy, deployability, operator usability, and platform.

  4. Evaluations and POCs: Own the pilot end to end, including line access, data collection, camera placement, acceptance criteria, and the readout that converts a POC into a purchase.

  5. Customer relationships: Build relationships that hold from plant champions to regional leaders to global decision makers, and own the executive update cadence.

  6. Urgency and unblocking: Drive next steps and milestones to dates, identify process readiness, resourcing, line access, and integration blockers early, and push them to resolution.

  7. Closing: Negotiate and close with speed and precision, with relentless follow up and no drift to next quarter.

  8. Expansion over time: Convert first station wins into repeatable rollouts across lines, plants, and inspection points, and grow accounts year over year.

  9. Field presence: Live in the factory. This role travels 60 to 80% and is based in the Bay Area.

WHO YOU ARERequired
  • Hands on vision or automation depth. You have personally built, deployed, tested, or debugged real vision or automated inspection systems in production environments, not specified or managed them from the buyer side.

  • Live technical reasoning. You can work an unfamiliar inspection problem in real time, including lighting, optics, fixturing, and failure modes, rather than narrating past projects.

  • Proven selling and closing. You have owned a real number, hunted new logos, and closed or expanded revenue you can speak to specifically.

  • Crisp communication under pressure. You land the answer for a time pressed factory engineer without burying the point.

  • Genuine appetite for both motions. You want cold opening and warm expansion, roughly evenly split, and you are choosing the field grind on purpose.

  • Bay Area rooted. You are based in or genuinely connected to the region's industrial and tech ecosystem, and you can travel 60 to 80%.

Strong Preferences
  • Manufacturing floor fluency. Time in plants across discrete or process manufacturing shortens your ramp with Quality and Ops buyers.

  • Competitive vision market exposure. Direct experience with machine vision or AI inspection vendors means you already know where incumbents break.

  • Multi site rollout experience. You have taken a single line win to an enterprise wide standard.

  • Technical to executive translation. You have moved a technical evaluation up to regional or global decision makers.

WHY OVERVIEW.AI
  • Extreme growth and real-world impact: We're not building demos. We're deploying AI systems on real production lines, at scale.

  • Talent density: You'll work with world-class engineers and operators across AI, embedded systems, and enterprise deployment.

  • Front-row seat to the AI manufacturing wave: One of the biggest transformations happening in industry right now.

  • Ownership: Your work directly changes the trajectory of the company.

  • Global exposure: You'll work with the most advanced customers and factories in the world.

Skills Required

  • Technical foundation in engineering, computer science, robotics, controls, computer vision, automation, or manufacturing
  • Hands-on experience building, deploying, testing, or troubleshooting real systems
  • Exposure to field environments, manufacturing, or live deployments
  • Experience translating technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
