The Video Editor is responsible for assembling recorded raw material into a finished product suitable for broadcasting.
Duties include: Cutting and editing film footage until it meets a director's approval; Rearranging and splicing scenes that have already been shot; determining if scenes need to be reshot; inserting music, sound, or optical effects. Video editors could also be expected to develop titles and motion graphics using software programs.
