About MOBY
MOBY Robotics builds autonomous deep-sea robotic systems that expand persistent access to the ocean. Our platform combines advanced computer vision, multi-agent coordination, and a scalable surface-to-seafloor architecture to deliver real-time ocean intelligence and enable responsible subsea operations.
About the Role
We are seeking a part-time Video Content Producer to document the people, engineering, and field operations behind our robotic systems.
This is a hands-on production role focused on shooting and editing video. You will work alongside our engineering team to capture robots as they are built, tested, and deployed, from our Miami facility to offshore operations. You will then turn that footage into content for social media, recruiting, press, sales, and company communications.
The role requires flexibility around engineering and testing schedules and travel for select deployments, including multiple consecutive days offshore aboard a vessel.
Responsibilities
• Shoot video across MOBY’s Miami facility, including manufacturing, assembly, engineering work, and vehicle testing
• Capture pool tests, ocean trials, launches, recoveries, vessel operations, and offshore deployments
• Edit your own footage, and footage captured by engineers and field teams, into polished video with strong pacing, sound, color, and narrative
• Work with engineering and leadership to anticipate important moments and find the stories in engineering progress, testing, deployments, and company milestones
• Create and adapt content for LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and other company channels, including copywriting, scheduling, and publishing
• Develop repeatable video formats and content series around MOBY’s robots, engineering process, and field operations
• Organize and maintain MOBY’s photo and video library so footage can be easily found and reused
Requirements
Required Qualifications
• A portfolio of high-quality video work that shows you can shape raw footage into a clear story
• Strong shooting and editing skills, with a solid grasp of composition, camera movement, lighting, sound, and pacing
• Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or similar professional editing software
• Experience with professional cameras, microphones, and lighting equipment
• Comfortable filming in active environments, including workshops, warehouses, test facilities, docks, boats, and outdoor locations
• Highly organized and able to manage large volumes of footage across multiple projects
• Able to work independently and recognize what should be captured without a detailed shot list
• Comfortable working closely with engineers and translating technical work into engaging visual content
• Willing to travel, spend multiple consecutive days offshore aboard a vessel, and adapt to changing engineering and testing schedules
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience filming technical subjects such as manufacturing, robotics, engineering, automotive, documentary, or action sports
• Experience filming from boats or in marine environments
• Photography and drone filming experience
• Your own professional camera, audio, and lighting equipment that you’re able to use on MOBY projects
• Experience with short-form and social video
• Familiarity with color grading, sound design, motion graphics, or animation
• Scuba certification or diving experience
• Interest in robotics, engineering, the ocean, or deep tech
Benefits
What We Offer
• Competitive part-time compensation
• Room to grow with the company, with the potential to transition into a full-time role as MOBY expands
• Significant creative ownership over how MOBY documents and shares its work
• Direct access to robotics manufacturing, testing, and offshore operations
• Close collaboration with engineers, founders, and company leadership
• A portfolio spanning robotics, manufacturing, ocean operations, engineering, and deep tech
